Bad service - although a nice hotel

Disappointed in the stay here . Although a lovely hotel the service level was just not up to standard . We arrived and were really wanted to get out and explore the city as we had a limited time but wanted to get freshened up before doing so . . Unfortunately the hotel staff misplaced our luggage and kept us waiting for over an hour and a half m, which eat into our holiday time . To add to the issue they sent up 2 porters on separate occasions to collect our luggage from the room??? I mean we had only just checked in I have never know annythibg so unorganised and with so much confusion , but eventually the luggage was bought to our room after having to go down and identify our luggage. There was also other issues we encountered which also didn’t give us a great impression . I advised front desk of all the issues and asked that the general manager call me to discuss but never bothered to do so.

Hotel was average, few issues. Upon checkin bedsheets were dirty, staff quickly changed our rooms same issue in second room but then changed sheets. Breakfast was ok. Facilities ok. Most annoying this was no hot water for shower in the morning. The second day the water in shower kept going hot cold, hot cold. Told staff came to check but no resolution. Checkout called staff to collect bags, had breakfast bags were not in lobby. Had an hour to collect. Ended up going to collect ourselves. Overall Average.

Underwhelmed in Jodhpur

Great location and very safe. Only vegetarian food (Fantastic). Some of the staff are new and kept coming back for review even after we just had coffee. Management makes them get 10 reviews a day. They do not think about the service before asking for the review. This was annoying, not an inconvenience. Sometimes the tables are close to food preps which made us request a change of seats. Otherwise, we would have had a very noisy dinner.

The lobby was too dark, depressing, not welcoming. Furniture dated and dirty. And the most annoying thing was the smell in lobby. The so called ‘scents’ smelled awful.
