Very good but some annoyances
Publié le 29 avr. 2024 sur HomeAwayA nice house in a lovely spot, quiet and comfortable. Great views. Unusable internet on the weekend, semi-usable Monday morning. Lots of dvds but no dvd player. Back door very difficult to unlatch. A few small cleanliness issues. Still, it was overall a good experience.

Michael , we always appreciate reviews and feedback. When I read yours, I was disappointed that I wasn’t able to point you out to a few things that would’ve made you more comfortable. The DVD player is thin and directly beneath the TV. I have a box that it rests inside.
Regarding the Internet, I do have Spectrum service service, which is excellent in the Joshua tree area, typically, with reception. When I visit over the weekends, I usually watch TV and we have up to four devices simultaneously going on top of that.. I did see an outage at 1:05 AM that seemed to resolve in under an hour. We do get notified. So if there was further, difficulty with the Internet I am sorry we couldn’t get support to you because I would have arranged it.
You also wrote some very lovely things about this day so thank you for that. One of the main reasons why I host is I really happy to contribute/ support a fun vacation or weekend of R&R.

Location Great for touring Joshua Tree NP
Publié le 29 mars 2024 sur HomeAwayThis home is in a perfect location if you want to explore the Joshua Tree National Park - which is why we chose it. It is a short drive to a Wallmart, where we picked up groceries for our stay. There are a few chain restaurants near Wallmart, as well.
The kitchen was well supplied and I appreciated the provided coffee beans for our morning coffee. We found the main bed to be uncomfortable, and slept in the second bedroom. Mattresses are such a personal thing - so others might have found it perfect for them. For us it’s often: this one is too soft, this one is too hard - and sometimes we are lucky and get this one is just right! 😁 The pillows were thin and not to our liking - if you can, take your own pillows (more sanitary, as well).
The home is all one level, easy to find with the GPS. The residential neighborhood was quiet. It has a pretty view front the back yard. The yard is natural - sand. The home itself felt clean on the surface - just don’t look too closely at the baseboards and fan lights that could have used a good cleaning/dusting. Perhaps they will be cleaned the next deep cleaning - so don’t let that hold you back. There were plenty of towels provided - the bathrooms were clean and comfortable to use.
It has a dining table with chairs that could seat six if I remember correctly. There is one couch, that is a sofa bed —along with two kitchen table chairs and a small plastic chair in the living room. Comfortable seating was limited. The home met our needs.

Great location and surrounded by Joshua Trees
Publié le 22 janv. 2024 sur HomeAwayWe really like the location of the VRBO, close to Joshua Park entrance, and the VRBO had all the amenities required. It was a quiet neighborhood with many Joshua Trees.
If we are ever back in Joshua Tree we wouldn't hesitate to stay at the property again.

Publié le 22 oct. 2023 sur HomeAwayWe enjoyed staying here a lot! Quiet, clean, spacious, cool, and very safe. The property owner was very nice, responsive, and generous. It's also close to everything in/near Joshua Tree town and park. It was a great weekend because of this awesome place to stay!

Awesome Rental!

The beds were extremely comfortable and with 6 of us there was more then enough space. The front porch was such a nice area to sit and drink coffee in or look up at the stars. I especially loved that she had all kinds of stuff for kids tucked away as we had a 2 year old with us, just extra thoughtful. Would definitely stay here again.
