Cute kiwi bach
Publié le 8 avr. 2024 sur HomeAwayStayed with 6 adults didnt find it crampt was exactly what was listed and is a traditional kiwi bach. Only stayed 2nights wish we had of booked longer. Beautiful views lovely beaches short trip to oamaru and awesome friendly neighbours who helped with a flat tyre would totally book again might even plan my next trip.

Great Crib

Cleaning fee
Publié le 4 mars 2023 sur HomeAwayI see that if the cleaning fee is something everyone that books to stay at this Bach has to pay you would except the property to be clean when you do stay here, dropped my phone while charging it in the main bedroom under the bed, found so many flies under the bed at the head board end of the bed, also house smells quite weird if you don’t open the windows so dusty was not good for my asthma, needed to use my inhaler the whole weekend which showed how dusty the property really was, Also so many bugs inside that looked almost like ticks, partner was constantly getting rid of them, Main bedroom door doesn’t even close, windows almost jammed up, couldn’t even open those windows again, sleep out door don’t even lock, the 2 bedrooms in the main house have been repaired with plaster but looks so dodgy, main bedroom ceiling almost looked like it could fall at any time, but the ocean view was the only thing we enjoyed the cleanliness was not up to standards.

Really disappointed with this review, we pride ourselves on making sure the property is clean..we will attend to under the bed!as far as your issues with the building..it is a kiwi bach and has some quirks as such but a can assure all is well with its structural integrity. sorry about your asthma not something I can fix....really pleased you enjoyed the view....regards Tim

Waitangi weekwnd stay
Publié le 12 févr. 2023 sur HomeAwayBeds comfortable. Very small and no storage for clothes or food. DVD player but no remote so could watch a multiple episode dvd. The internal sofas are actually outdoor furniture so not as comfortable as it could be. Had questions for owner who was responsive to txts. Notice wifi router installed but owner does not offer wifi access which is poor in this day and age.

Thanks for your feedback Delwyn,the wifi is not listed as it is waiting on installation..happening this week..then the listing will show this..everything else you mention is clearly shown in the listing..the furniture is also shown in the listing..as I had previously discussed with you in one of your many texts during your stay..my only suggestion to you would be to read the listing properly before booking..I was not expecting a great review here as this guest was very needy to say the least

Kakanui Bach
Publié le 21 déc. 2022 sur HomeAwayNice place to stay but it is a classic kiwi Bach - dont expect 5 star luxury. Rooms are cramped. Outside bedroom has no services. But you can have a chilled break, cook a meal, good shower (mixer from the 70's but a good one), lounge on the deck...maybe over priced but it's kind of unique these days!

Publié le 25 avr. 2022 sur HomeAwayWe did wonder why there were no inside photos, inside wasn’t fantastic for the price. Seating was basic outdoor style furniture, not very comfortable. Some general safety repairs could be addressed ie broken bottom step onto deck, railings on deck were rusted right through.
In saying that we had a very relaxing weekend.

Thanks for your feedback Sefton..we have no photos of the interior currently as the website would not load them..we are working on this.there are plans a foot to cover the decking and replace the railing over winter..but we will always have a kiwi bach as listed so yes it has some limitations..hopefully you enjoyed your stay in our little patch of paradise..regards Tim

Holiday by the sea

It was comfortable with the three adults that were staying, but I think I would have struggled with a larger group , particularly if the weather did not allow sitting outside . It would be helpful to have some instructions for the TV / DVD recorder and also the location of things like the outdoor chairs which we found on the 3rd day there . We had a lovely break but I do feel it was a bit pricey for its size ,
