Little Disappointed
Publié le 12 juin 2024 sur HomeAwayHouse size was great! Kitchen was well stocked with everything that was needed. Yard space was nice. The outside area was great area with a grill and a large table where we ate.
Little disappointed in the beach area. There was no beach area to sit by the water. It was a steep incline so not easy for a chair to sit by the water. However, it was neat to watch the turtles come up at sundown to sleep and watch swim in the water.
At the end of our stay we were packing up to leave and we borrowed the cooler to take our refig food to a family member who was also vacationing on the island and have one last picnic on the island for a few hours homeowner got really mad. Cooler was returned before the housekeeper left. Housekeeper was there when we left and we packed up 3 grocery bags of dry food for them as a courtesy. Even cleaned up a bit so they would not have much to do. An hour later the homeowner sent me a mean text accusing us of smoking in the house! Which we did NOT! I live in a smoke free home and I would never allow that! I am very sensitive to smoke so I would have know if someone did smoke in it. We did vacation with some smokers and they ALWAYS smoked outside! What a way to end a dream vacation!!

Amazing Stay!

Great communication with our host Brian, great location to access community and restaurants and even greater natural environment! One night we counted 36 turtles on the beach...mornings on the deck were glorious. The house is stocked with more than we expected and plenty of room for all of us. We couldn't have picked a better place.

Sunsets and Turtles, Oh My!
Publié le 14 mai 2024 sur HomeAwayOur stay was filled with mornings drinking coffee on the beach as our toddlers played and sunsets with our entire family watching the turtles come up to sleep. The owner was incredibly helpful when we had questions. We had a wonderful time filled with timeless memories.

Wonderful Family Vacation Home
Publié le 11 mai 2024 sur HomeAwayBrian was exceptionally helpful from the get go. The house was perfect for our extended family and had all the amenities we needed for wonderful days at the beach. The kitchen was well appointed and clean, with plenty of plates, utensils, and cooking gadgets.
The outdoor space was perfect for our little ones to run and play. There was even a little kiddie pool, ideal for after-beach splashing.
We enjoyed the lanai every day for cards games, lunch, dinner, and gathering.
It was a great location to nearby Kihei shops, restaurants, souvenir markets, and Kalama park for the kids.
Sunsets were magical with the onshore arrival of sea turtles each evening. We sat in wonder as their heads popped up and the waves carried them onto the sand. The most we counted was 19 one night. It was lovely if we rose early for morning walks and found some still lingering before heading out to the ocean for the day.
I highly recommend The Palms for family vacations. Thank you, Brian, for making it so easy.

Publié le 30 janv. 2024 sur HomeAwayWe are so glad we chose this property for our stay in Kihei! The other reviewers were spot on about what a wonderful unit this is. The ocean view from the property is amazing, and it was great to have a grassy area where our children could play when we were not on the beach. We took advantage of the large outdoor dining space every evening, and the fridge offered plenty of storage space for nightly cooking.
Our favorite thing was watching the sunset, followed by the sea turtles coming up on the beach for the evening. We used the provided beach chairs to enjoy this beautiful event, and one night we counted 13 turtles of varying sizes. It was a delightful new experience for us to watch them come ashore. We appreciated the provision of beach towels, chairs and outdoor toys for our vacation.
The host, Brian, was professional and very responsive to our communications.
Even though the unit is in a neighborhood with little space between houses, it was quiet and we rarely noticed noise from neighbors or the street. The home is conveniently located to grocery stores, ice cream shops and gift stores.
It was great to have cable TV, as this seems to be a lacking feature in VRBOs these days. The living room offered a good amount of space for our group of 7 and we never felt crowded. The individual AC units kept the house cool.
We loved the daily visits of the wild chickens and roosters and the sounds of the myna birds.
So much to enjoy at this property! Mahalo!

Family Vacation
Publié le 13 janv. 2024 sur HomeAwayWe had a wonderful week in Maui, the house is in a perfect spot with a beautiful lawn that leads down to a sandy beach. Kehei shops and dining are a short walk away! Brian was great to work with and the trip, and check-in/out were all super easy.

Amazing Piece of Paradise
Publié le 6 janv. 2024 sur HomeAwayThis property could not have been more amazing! We came as a family to celebrate my parents 50th wedding anniversary, and this house was everything. Convenient, beautiful, and well appointed. There could be no better way to do Maui than this house. A+
