Sorry we had to move because of bathroom leakage

Great location but the condo needs some work.
Publié le 28 avr. 2024 sur HomeAwayGreat location!!! however, for the price it had a broken microwave and a second one on the counter, floor tile missing, bathroom mirror is needing fixed and ALOT of “stuff” like broken beach chairs and snorkel mask you would NEVER think of using because it's gross. It was hard to hang my clothes with a mattress pad filling the closet. Needs to be cleaned out and fixed.

I am sorry that Ms. B. had issues in my condo. Regarding the microwave, the existing one gave out the night before her arrival. The maintenance crew brought a fill-in before she arrived, but didn't want to remove the old one until an electrician looked at the old one to see if it could be fixed.
Regarding other issues she mentioned... yes, I know the bathroom mirror has small detioration around the edges (the silver has faded for 1/4" in a few spots), and I have contacted a glass company to replace it. On Kauai, you typically wait a while for any refurbishing work to be completed.
Regarding closets having old snorkel gear that is not in good shape, guests leave gear all the time. I am not aware of this happening, living 5,000 miles away, but as soon as I hear about it, I asked the cleaning crew to check it out.
I try to stay on top of all issues in the condo, but with all the items that this guest raised, this was the first I had heard about them. All previous reviews were 5* and complimentary.

Positives and Negatives
Publié le 5 avr. 2024 sur HomeAwayThere were positives and negatives about this property but we enjoyed our stay here. The owner was very nice and accommodating. The grounds are beautiful with lots of open space and in a great location. The unit is well-appointed with everything you need and the bed is very comfortable. However, the condo is outdated and needs some maintenance. The sliding glass doors and screen stick and are difficult to operate. The bathtub is very high and has glass doors so it would be difficult for some seniors or to bathe children. The toilet is difficult to flush and you have to hold the handle. The microwave above the stove has a big sign that says "Out of Order" but there is another microwave on the counter. The bathroom mirror needs to be replaced. The unit is on the 2nd floor and this should be emphasized in the listing in case anyone has problems with stairs. We are seniors and stayed in the property for two nights so it was fine for us. Many of the units in this complex have been remodeled but this was has not. Thank you Paul for being such a nice host!

Beautiful property

The lanai was lovely for morning coffee and to sit and watch our kids play on the amazing grass lawns. Beach was perfect for kids, snorkeling, surfing. Appliances were dated and we did have the microwave and toaster malfunction on us. Nothing major and we would very happily stay here again.

The view was incredible, it was quiet as it's a short walk away from the parking lots and roads, and well appointed. Thank you!
