Great camping with a comfy roof, bed, and toilet
Publié le 16 sept. 2023 sur HomeAwayOllie was a great host. He was so helpful and nice. The bunkie was adorable and excellent. The futon bed was surprisingly comfortable--we slept really well on it. The composting toilet in the very clean outhouse was perfect and did not smell at all. The camping shower worked great for us. The only thing I would do if I owned the property would be to tidy up a bit. There were some bottles and canisters and stuff lying about in the woods and some ancient equipment that I would haul away. All in all, though, our stay was pretty perfect. Thanks!

Disappointment

When I communicated with him over messenger before I booked, I had asked him series of questions, that he said yes too. Just an hour before we arrived, from our long drive from Leamington, everything seemed to be different. He denied me asking him those questions, and tried to con me out of more money, by stating he didn't know how many people were coming, when I clearly told him. He failed to bring breakfast every morning, as it states in the advertisement. We left two days early. I was very disappointed. It seemed his only interest was to get more money, and not the comfort of his tenancy. I will not go back, and not recommend this area.

1. You brought 4 people and a dog to my property. As listed it is for 2. It is a 10’x10’ bunkie and you were well informed. I should have turned you away when I learned of your extra guests.
2. I did not ask for more money, you offered me cash regarding your dog staying as this had not been previously booked or discussed. I only informed you that a family vacation for four with a dog in the area is much more expensive.
3. Vrbo has not listed my property correctly this year as I have changed breakfast to “not offered” many times. You could have reached out to me during your stay but chose not to. Apologies on my end for the inconvenience, but this is a Vrbo issue.
4. Overall I’m sorry you were disappointed with your trip. Your expectations were unrealistic. Thank you for not returning.

Cozy spot for two

Publié le 16 juill. 2023 sur HomeAwayOllie was super friendly. Property was secluded and quiet which was nice as a pose to a busy campground. Everything was clean inside and out. This was our dogs first camping trip and he had a blast.

Amazing experience at an amazing place!

From the mosquitoes to the outhouse bathroom, this was as close to as camping as one could get, while coming back to a cozy little shed, that was more than spacious enough for 2 people. The drive to the beach is short, and the park (with hiking trails, waterfalls, etc.) is also no more than a 20 minute drive.
The delivery of breakfast by Ollie made the experience far better, with a personal touch. The muffins were always spectacular!
The property was nice and isolated, making it feel like our own small spot in the forest.
There’s an amazing spot in town, named “Erika’s” with homemade food, that I would also recommend to a future camper.
Overall, a great experience!

He showed us how everything worked, and recommended an outing nearby that was wonderful. I can’t speak highly enough about him & his property, and will most definitely be returning!
