Cottage très joli dans le bois très proche du merveilleux lac Tekapo.
Parking gratuit.
Très calme.

Old cottage which needs more attention

Not very clean, a lot of dead muskito, flies and moths.
The TV was protected by a pin code and we had to call the recrption because they did not give at check in.
The wifi did not work very well.
I complain about those things at check out and we had 20$ refund.

Sometimes at night if you leave a window open and a light on insects will come in. We damp dust all surfaces before new guests arrive. The wifi works well if the main telephone line is working which is usually does. In your case there were slow internet connection through the whole area. As our office is 30 paces fromyour cottage it cannot of been too big a chore to ask for the pin, which is not usually on anyway. A serviceman had been to add some channels and had put a pin lock on it. Our apologies for the inconvenience.

Perfect location for exploring Lake Tekapo
Publié le 27 févr. 2024 sur HotelsOwner was very friendly and welcoming. We stayed in the Eastwing cottage, which was very spacious and well-equipped. Comfy bed & powerful shower. The washing machine was an unexpected added bonus! There was also free onsite parking.
Excellent location - very peaceful and just a short walk to the lake and town where there was a good selection of restaurants and shops.
All in all, it was a very comfortable 2-night stay.

Loved our stay in Rowan’s Cottage, cute and cosy and a pleasant walk from the cottage to walking trails, shops and cafes. Very friendly host, Steve, who welcomed us to the area.

We were very disappointed because when we arrived, the property told us they double booked the room. We were not able to stay at the cabin because the other party arrived first. The owner did pay for us to stay at a local motel, but obviously we would have preferred to stay at the cabin we had actually booked. This was a big let down!
