A one-of-a-kind contemporary downtown home with a rooftop patio sauna, fire pit, and hot tub! The gourmet kitchen is perfect for special events and family gatherings. With 2 bedrooms on the 1st floor and a 3rd-floor bunk room, this brand new home gives everyone plenty of room to stretch out! Views from all angles and lots of sunshine make this a perfect entertaining space or quiet mountain getaway!

Embark on an unforgettable Rocky Mountain retreat at this modern Leadville vacation rental home. Enjoy spectacular views of several of Colorado's famous 14ers. Just minutes from home you can spend days hiking, mountain biking, fishing, and boating, or head to one of the nearby world-class mountain resorts for a day on the slopes!

-- THE PROPERTY --
The kitchen with expansive countertop space comes fully equipped to entertain with all major appliances including two dishwashers, a wine fridge, and a gas grill. You can serve at the 3-person breakfast bar, or gather everyone around the 10-person dining table and serve family-style.

There are two bedrooms on the 1st level with a King in the master with an attached bath and a queen in the 2nd bedroom with a shared bath.

The upstairs bunk room (two bunk beds, twin over full) is equipped with a wet bar and walks out to the spacious deck with hot tub that features unparalleled views of the mountains.

Only a half-block off Harrison Ave, you are ideally situated to explore all the best Leadville has to offer. From coffee shops, art galleries, restaurants, and more, this home is within walking distance to all!

In the summer, hike, and bike through scenic mountain trails, or drive to Turquoise Lake for boating and fishing! For winter recreation, Ski Cooper is about 15 minutes away. Copper Mountain is just 25 miles away, Vail is 40 miles and Breckenridge is just 40 miles from the home. These premier mountain resorts offer world-class skiing in the winter and plenty of summer, spring, and fall activities for the entire family to enjoy, from zip lines to horseback rides.

Stayed there with a group of friends. The place was just what we wanted - large kitchen, comfortable beds, plenty of space for everyone, and the rooftop hot tub were all highlights. The hosts were very easy to communicate with and provided all the info about the rental in a downloadable guidebook. Planning to stay here again next winter!

The set up of this place is very nice. They even had a drying rack for ski equipment. We loved the hot tub and the sauna on the roof. It has plenty of places to sleep. Not everything was working, but nothing too important. Only some settings worked on the washing machine, the light above the stove, dishwasher not dissolving soap, and the master bath fan wasn’t working. Other than those things, it was a wonderful stay. The location is amazing. Step outside and you can walk all over downtown and to the miners museum. We loved this place!

Beautiful views, beautiful house and very pet friendly. We absolutely loved this stay! The little town is so cute. We went skiing at copper mountain, rode the Leadville train, went to 3 different wonderful coffee shops, and loved the FAMOUS restaurant. Our whole stay was phenomenal! We will be coming back

This home is a dream style home. We all had a great and little weekend getaway. We all loved being close to amenities and walking distance to everything. The only thing we wish we could have changed are the check-in and check-out times. Other than that, this home was awesome. Thank you.

Leadville wasn't out favorite, but this house worked well for our family. A few things - coffee pot didn't work right, 1 TV didn't work, beds aren't super comfortable, but overall it was fine. Check in/check out process were easy, kids enjoyed the hottub, Kitchen and layout are nice.

Renter Beware

This is a very cool property. Makes you feel like you're in an old firehouse. Plenty of space, can easily sleep 8 people, and it has a great view and location. However, you are neighbors to the Leadville Public Works, which is up and out early moving around heavy machinery at 6am. Then the worst, at 6:30am my parents were startled out of bed by a man trying to get into the home through their bedroom window. Luckily, before escalating things or calling the police, we saw that he had unloaded a bunch of cleaning equipment onto sidewalk outside and figured he worked for the management company. I tried to keep this off the online review and personally let the manager aware of this situation. But that only received a half-hearted apology. I loved the property, but won't be back.

Awesome property but off platform rental company

Loved the Lost City Lodge and Leadville! Renters need to know this is only advertised on VRBO and rental is handled by a different company. I was a little confused when I booked through VRBO but then received a payment request from a local Leadville company. All worked out in the end and we had an awesome stay in this great property, but it would be helpful to know all of this up front.

Great location and layout

We enjoyed the layout of the house with two bedrooms on the first floor and bunk beds with a full bathroom on the third floor. We cooked our meals in the kitchen and fully enjoyed the hot tub after skiing.

Excellent place to stay

We came to town for a short ski trip to Cooper and Monarch. The home is located very close to Cooper and serves well for a base camp. The house its self is in great condition and the neighborhood is very quiet. The only issue is that it is next door to the Lake County Maintenance facility and their lot is just outside the windows and they arrive very early. You can walk to anywhere in town easily. The kitchen has everything you might need. The grill works well. The beds are comfortable. And there is plenty of space. The hot tub / porch view is awesome! Parking is street side and isn’t an issue. We plan on returning.

2025 Ski Cooper Trip

The property itself was super gorgeous! You can’t beat a VRBO that has enough beds, huge kitchen, and a sauna hot tub. The only thing we were disappointed about was the cleanliness of the house. There were used pots and pans put away & left to mold, full trash bags left, dog hair everywhere (we didn’t bring a dog), the sheets were used and not cleaned (we ended up washing them), and the hot tub had some questionable grime. It just felt like there was no cleaning service in between stays.Other than the cleanliness, the house was perfect. It’s a 15 min drive to Ski Cooper, 5 min drive to the grocery, and walking distance to pubs/restaurants. Overall, we did enjoy our stay!

Luxury Stay with Thoughtful Touches & Perfect Location

We absolutely loved our stay! We come to Leadville annually to board Ski Cooper. The modern house design, high-quality furniture throughout, and spacious, well-equipped kitchen made for a fantastic experience. Most important the beds were incredibly comfortable and we all slept great. The hosts were kind enough to offer us an early check-in at no extra cost, which we truly appreciated.We didn’t encounter any cleanliness issues as previously mentioned in other reviews. We also enjoyed walking downtown for dinner at Quincy’s, which was a great addition to our stay. It’s clear that the hosts are dedicated to providing a true luxury experience, and we couldn’t be happier. Highly recommend!

AVOID AT ALL COST (literally)

I only chose one star because it made me. This was the worst interaction I’ve had with VRBO and then realized that it’s actually through a Management Company a Husband and Wife duo who are extremely unreliable and rude. They also run Independence Reality and Property Management so you know who to not do business with. We were physically not able to make it there due to a State of Emergency and they were not willing to let us reschedule or give us a credit. Some times things are out of your control and it doesn’t take much to be a good person, but the greed has apparently taken over with these two. Make sure to read all reviews for this rental. After I did, I’m glad I didn’t book here. Dirty sheets, by more than one person along with other issues.
