Run down and old

The property is run down and in poor condition. The furniture was very old and in poor condition, chair was dirty. I opened the window a couple of inches and it almost fell out of the track on me. The carpet was new which was nice and the bedding was clean. The mattress felt old. There was no coffee in the continental breakfast room and the choices for breakfast was limited. The juice machine didn’t work either. The HVAC unit was very noisy also.

Our door lock didn’t work. We had to ask for help to get in our room several times. We waited in the lobby for along time to get back into the room. The man at the front desk was rude when we woke him up to let us in.

I was traveling with my elderly father and was disappointed to find that a room on the 1st floor STILL required him to do a set of stairs. (No elevator, which is never an issue with 1st floor rooms, except this one). The "breakfast" was on a floor below (basement?) the 1st floor rooms, so even more steps. The breakfast was very lacking and offered very little in the way of food (bins were empty, etc), to include NO COFFEE because, the coffee maker was broken. The staff kindly provided me with several coffee packets to make coffee in our room, except that the pot in the room produced hot water with a lot of white pieces of God only knows what floating around. It was gross. I ran the room pot twice with just water to see if the white pieces would clear. Nope. Remained disgusting. So, we packed up and went into town to buy breakfast and have coffee. This cost us extra time and money. The room itself was ok, a bit worn/dated. The beds were decently comfortable. Being a platinum member, I asked about the 'free gift' of either points or drink/snack. Despite a sign at the desk stating I would get one or the other, the staff had no idea what I was talking about. Upon asking the morning staff person, she produced a bag with some odd items in it. The bag was dirty and most of it was 'junk' like little cheap plastic items that are useless... I'd say mostly kids stuff like a tiny plastic whistle and tiny, flimsy plastic comb, etc. Anyhow, I wouldn't stay here again.

Coffee maker in the breakfast area was broken. No biggie, just supplement in the room extra or have a sign that says so. Rooms are clean and work well for ehat we needed. Overnight for ski weekend.

No coffee

Checkin took for ever and the guy was the least friendly most arrogant person I have met in a long time. This place is a total dump and the staff is terrible. They had no coffee in the breakfast room while I was there because someone broke the coffee machine. No apology for the lack of coffee in the morning just obnoxious staff. The breakfast is awful.

No Sunday Breakfast ??

Not sure what was going on Sunday morning when I left, but went down stair for the free breakfast a 6:30 and nothing was ready. checked again a 7am and still nothing. Got to late and just checked out and hit the road.

Nice little hotel

This is a great little hotel for those who just need a place to sleep. Is older but clean and neat. Beds are comfortable, the staff is nice. Breakfast is ok, I usually don’t have breakfast at the hotel but they have waffles, yogurt, etc. I would definitely return to this hotel.

We came up for an overnight to go to ski cooper. The price was great, room was clean, older hotel. Bed was kinda old but fine I guess for the price. The continental breakfast needed some more things. We loved the Wi-Fi and the cable worked really well, so many channels! Super close to town and the heat worked well.

This was a very dirty property. Our door lock was broke so when we needed in, we’d have to find the front desk person to get us in. Our other room was gross and the building smelled bad. When we brought our concerns to the assistant manager, he basically laughed in our face and refused to give us our money back. We traveled with 8 and his was of accommodating was putting us in a one bed room because he was full…not very accommodating and loves to argue. He told us we could talk to the manager the next day.

Not recommended.

It took over 30 minutes to check in. The hotel staff was on the phone with a customer and kept arguing because he didn’t want to send the customer a confirmation email. Then the door key was not working. The hotel staff couldn’t get it to work, so they let us in with a manual master key. We never got a working key. The room was noisy, we could hear the upstairs tv blasting all night. The bed was awful, we were both in pain from sleeping on it, and it was a full size bed not a queen size bed. The pillows were pathetic. The sheets were itchy. The shower was dirty, I ended up wiping it down before I used it. Half the building was boarded up and looked like it had a fire years ago. We both couldn’t sleep, we checked in at 8pm and left at 4am because we couldn’t sleep from being so uncomfortable. It was $126 a night… something this bad shouldn’t be more than $35 a night.
