Great holiday experience

Had a great holiday over the easter long weekend, house has a great backyard and outdoor entertaining area, only issue was that internet reception was poor, but seemed to be an issue for the entire town, definitely be back again.

Not the best stay I've had

When we arrived the house was dark gloomy and there is a fish smell in the back patio and sometimes inside. The property needs a good clean not just a clean from the people staying in it. There is mould and scum in the bathrooms. We also didn't know there was no linen until day before our expected stay. Trying to contact the property manager was difficult and being charged $50 per extra person per night is rediculous considering there is extra cleaning expense for the additional people with no linen or towels etc.

disappointment

The house itself is one we have stayed in twice before. I have never had a problem checking-in before, but this time was dreadful. I was shunted on to another site VRBO (I think) and had to use a 6 digit code -no luck, tried about 15 different times and even when I entered the code in the allocated 15 minute time frame, still said "invalid" Was so frustrating I ended up contacting the owner of the house direct - I didn't want to do it, but had dealt with Julian before. Luckily, he provided all the info I needed. We will very likely go to the same address in Feb, 2025, but if I possibly can, will deal directly with Julian. I have used STAYZ many, many times (for our Feb. stays in Ledge) and have never encountered a more frustrating episode as this year.

Solid house with big backyard. It lacked a few key things. 1 split system so not ideal for winter. The place was generally tired which was fine save that it really needed a thorough clean. That said, a good solid house ideal for 2 families sharing. We were told after we had booked that we were expected to clean it on departure.

March long weekend

The house was well located, however the cleanliness of the house was less than desirable. Filthy oven and fridge. Bath not functional as the drain is broken and plug was missing. Ensuite bathroom had hair in and around drains. Bbq tray had fat build up on tray. As we were required to vacuum , sweep and mop on departure, I'm not sure whether that is the only cleaning done between stays.

Good stay but needs a freshening up

The property was in a good location. The outside of the property was well maintained. The property had the necessary household items and sufficient space. The cleanliness of the inside of the property was disappointing. The floors, cook top, cutting boards and fridge shelves were dirty.

Worst stay of my life.

There was no reception at the property we could not make phone calls , non of the TVs worked , the house was disgusting , sticky floors, carpets un clean , fridge was dirty hot plat was covered in oil, the bin was full we had no where to put any rubbish, when I final got in contact with home owner i was told that it's my problem and not his , as we booked for 10 and only 6 stayed I was told I would get abit of a refund and still have not received anything , we did not have access to the property the car port and the shed , we bought up a motor bike and a jet ski and had no where to lock them , when I brought this up with owner he told me to go buy a lock and chain , this property add is very miss leading and should not be on your Web site , we had the worst experience of our lives and we payed over $1800 dollars for it , I will not ever again be useing stayz and if we're you I would take this listing down .

This is completely untrue and this guy was very upset by the fact that 4 of his guest didn’t show that he had already paid for (so he says). I had no issue with giving him a refund as a good gesture as i told him when he asked me. I personally saw the house before hand and it was clean and tidy as per usual but the hotplate may have been missed but I certainly didn’t notice it. I do admit that the carets have become a little grubby through this busy period and they are due for there annul professional clean. The bins were full from the previous tenants as it is a busy time of the year but there is a spare bin there for this reason which i told him to use which i then sorted later on. My ad says nothing about the use of the shed or garage and the reception up there is not the best but it is what it is, i may look at wifi in the future. If he had of messaged me before hand i could have answered all of his questions.
