Birthday visit
Publié le 16 avr. 2024 sur HomeAwayIt was my mom’s 75th birthday and all she wanted was for her whole family to be together. We had family ranging from 16 to 82 and everyone had a great time. The house was perfect, the lake was beautiful and everyone got to enjoy some time on the kayaks! We enjoyed the house very much and would definitely return if the opportunity arises.

Fantastic hidden gem
Publié le 2 avr. 2024 sur HomeAwayWe had 8 adults for a wedding nearby. The home was perfect and the weather was beautiful. The 11 spaniels across the lake provided enjoyable entertainment.
Kitchen is very well socked. Coffee pot is quirky and doesn't stay on once coffee is brewed. Take extra paper towels, kitchen trash bags, Saran wrap , aluminum foil, Ziploc bags, leftover containers and a few bags of ice.
The master suite is AMAZING, beds were comfy and plenty of soft bath towels. Take soap, bath gel, shampoo and conditioner as well as extra toilet paper.
Enmark is about 5-7 minutes from the home which is located on a dirt/gravel road.
Overall, excellent weekend and we didn't want to leave. We definitely recommend this home.

Some shortcomings even with a view
Publié le 29 nov. 2023 sur HomeAwayThe house sleeps 15, yet the dining table seats only 6. We had 12 people. The "Coffee Bar" did not exist. We had to buy a Keurig. The second TV did not exist.
Renting a house in November without blankets was very uncomfortable. Had we known, we could have brought blankets. The layout of the house was nice and offered a good view. Parking was good. The location was good. Too bad a lovely house was spoiled with such shortcomings. And, even with cars in the parking area and lights on in the house, one of the owners used his key to enter the house unannounced -- no knock on the door, no ringing the doorbell. Our sense of security was shaken. Who are you he asked of my sister.

So very sorry to hear things didn't go as you had hoped at our house. We wish you would've reached out while you were there so we could've helped prevent some of these issues. As mentioned in the listing, there are folding table and chairs in the hall closet. There is a always coffee pot on the counter as well as enough coffee and filters in the cabinet above to get you started (also as listed). We sincerely apologize for the intrusion while you were there. Because you had added an extra day, it was not reflected in the stay, and he was stopping by to turn on the fireplace and drop more propane. Sorry again for the inconveniences.

Great Family Getaway

The house was perfect for our group. Lots of space indoors and outside. Be sure to sign the waiver to use the kayaks and paddle boat as well!

Wonderful house
Publié le 28 sept. 2023 sur HomeAwayWe really enjoyed our stay at the house, it was beautiful in the inside and very spacious. The beds were very comfortable and lots of towels. We had a slight problem with the lockbox but eventually got in. The check out process was really easy and I appreciated that as guests we did not have to do to much when leaving. Highly recommend staying here and we were visiting our son with friends from USC and easy to get back and forth.

Surprise 60th Birthday Party

The one small opportunity would be to have a small air conditioner in the sitting room off the kitchen to have another gathering space. Else, the property is perfect and certainly would rent again.

Perfect house and perfect location on Lake Murray

Loved how spacious and roomy everything was. The kitchen was stocked so loved that, too! Need a ceiling fan or box fan in top room upstairs. Otherwise, everything was perfect! Would love to go back!
