The apartment was as advertised, and the owner graciously accommodated our request to check in a little earlier.
The owner is currently abroad, so I talked to his representative in the UK. The apartment is less than 5 min walk from the tube, 10 mins to Paddington, 20-30 mins to Central London. Bus #16 takes you directly to Buckingham palace in 25 minutes!
The neighborhood is residential with Middle Eastern flavor, but it was quiet and safe, even at night. There are no restaurants and shops in the immediate vicinity, but there are a few within 10 minutes walk.
Overall, very good experience, would stay there again if given a chance.
Great location, budget friendly, but lacking on small touches
The flat was basically as described and as pictured, and it was entirely adequate for our basic needs. We appreciated its proximity to the Underground. Overall, this was what you might call an "economy" lodging, though. Check-in was strange, and communication was spotty. We ended up sitting outside the building for 45 minutes (with small children, after a flight and long train ride). The flat was missing those small touches that make one feel welcome. There was no coffee, we had to buy toilet paper, the furnishings and decor were a bit drab--things like that. We don't regret staying there, because it was a good value overall, but with some easy improvements this property could be far better.

Ex council flat
The flat served its purpose but so much construction going on with constant noise factor and will be ongoing for quite some time in the three tower buildings. We had water turnoffs on two occasions , once for 48 hours . Not good. The place is old . The beds are not great. Kitchen and living areas are quite good , shower needs some work. On the plus side , very close to station and good pub opposite.
We enjoyed our stay and even the unusually hot weather for London. Note apt. had no AC but fans were helpful. Beautiful view from the 14th floor, great access to the Underground, Metro subway. Kitchen was modern and met our cooking needs.
Quiet multiethnic area with small markets with selection of unusual foods.
A few upgrades in furnishing would be helpful.
Everything said, we would recommend this unit.
Great place to use as a base for exploring London. Really handy to Tube station and great little cafe / bar on corner. In a tall old style tower block but nice surrounding area. Fairly basic but good value. Few little things like loose taps and old rough sofa but all in all great for us.
This property was home away from home. Everything you needed. Great location. Anthony was very helpful and easy to communicate with. Nothing was to much trouble. Hope to stay here again soon.
Great location and Anthony is very attentive but needs a housekeeper. When we arrived the place was dirty. The cupboards were filled with dishes that had not been washed. The floor had dirt and hair from previous renters. My ten month old daughter was finding medication on the floor that the previous tenant had dropped. The bathroom tub wood paneling is severely rotted out because of a unrepaired leak. We spent the first day cleaning everything. Anthonyâs assistant was supposed to meet us outside to let us in. After calling her when we were in a taxi headed there (45 minutes out) and then calling again when we arrived she changed her mind to not let us in. We had to wait outside for 30 minutes for her brother to show up to let us in. The upside is Anthony was great to deal with and always responded immediately. A professional housekeeping service with a few minor repairs would make this place 5 stars.
Prompt communication with Anthony - always had an answer quickly. Apartment close to public transportation and small markets. Check in was not ideal. Intercom did not work which created an issue since I did not have an international working phone. Hostess seemed a bit frazzled and was still cleaning the apartment even though it was 2 1/2 hours after check in time. Apartment stocked with dishwasher detergent and laundry detergent. However, only 3 rolls of toilet paper for a family of 5 and a week long stay. Side notes - The walls could use a good washing or need to be painted and a manual for how to operate appliances would be greatly appreciated for those not familiar with European methods.
Den 5 ten Stern gibt es , wenn fĂŒr jeden eine Bettdecke und Nachttischlampe angeschafft wird, eine neue Matratze kommt, die Möbel repariert, und es insgesamt etwas liebevoller ausgestattet wird.
My husband and I along with our 2 year old stayed here for a week while looking for a permanent flat to rent. Right near the tube, grocery and shopping very close, great little spot Elgin to eat on the corner. Very easy to get most places in the city from the tube station. Fantastic park short walking distance from flat. Porter in the evenings at the flat. Anthony was great to work with, we were welcomed to the flat and someone showed us around. The kitchen was stocked with things for cooking, as we like to cook a lot. I would recommend staying here!
This is a good place for a really good price in a great location.
Seconds to the Bakerloo subway line, convenient to the all of the London sights.
We came down to London looking for a place to sleep four on a budget. With two bedrooms, kitchen and a sleeper couch, there was more than enough room. There are a couple of nice small grocers within a block to provision the kitchen or to pick up a quick snack, wine or dessert.
