Cozy and quiet 1 bed flat in central Dalston, East London

Characterful, cozy and quiet flat in the centre of Dalston, just off high st. Luxury marble wet room and toilet and custom designed kitchen. South facing patio at rear. 1min walk from tube, high st and shopping mall with large Sainsbury's. No through road so very quiet.

It feels like a quiet sanctuary away from the stress of London. Its part Little House on the Prairie, part Ralph Lauren beach hut. Its my pride and Joy and I love it.

Particularly noteworthy is the luxury marble wet room and toilet with underfloor heating. Kitchen and laundry room all designed by myself inspired by mid century design

The whole flat is accessible. There is garden at the rear but unfortunately it belongs to the nice lady upstairs, though you do have access to the comfortable patio (12' x 8') where you can view her beautiful display.

I will be contactable via the Vrbo site for any questions and
emergencies like lost keys or problems with amenities.

16 cash machines, great night life, good restaurants, lots of young people, lots of 30 somethings and a lot of old people. Basically everything you could ever need on your doorstep.

Parking is pay and display between 8.30am to 6.30pm Mon to Sat. Free all other times.
Good links to Tube and overground trains, and buses less than 1min walk away. Closest main railway is Liverpool st station which is quickest to get to and from via the 49 bus on the high st

simple, easy, charming, quiet. from the moment we arrived, we were able to relax, enjoy, rest and explore. super convenient, interesting and friendly neighborhood. You can't go wrong with Barnaby's place. We slept amazing well, and enjoyed all the sweet one bedroom VRBO had to offer from the coffee table books of local interest, to preparing toast and coffee/tea, to the simple green airy outdoor sitting sitting area, to Netflix and YouTube after a day out and about. The flat being convenient to Dalston stop Tube/ Underground and local Doubledeckers made all easy. Loved the local neighborhood of small business shops/markets.

Great stay

Apt was clean and well presented. Bed and LR furniture were comfy. I purchased more glasses so I didn’t have to wash after each use. No microwave (and I had no idea/inclination to figure out the UK oven!). Quiet section of the neighbourhood with a great daily “street market”. Convenient to various public transportation modes.

Very nice flat, spacious for 2 people. 5 min from train station, restaurants & grocery store. The back garden has sounds of singing birds- very peaceful place, quiet. It was a little difficult finding the place with the address provided but we were luckily able to figure it out based on the exterior photos from the listing

Alles, was man braucht :)

Das Apartment von Barnaby bietet wirklich alles, was man als Selbstversorger benötigt und ist super ausgestattet. Außerdem durchdacht und liebevoll eingerichtet. Der Kontakt zu Barnaby war Ă€ußerst freundlich und hilfsbereit. Die Anbindung in der Umgebung ist sehr gut. 2 Overground Stationen in direkter NĂ€he. Man musste nur immer ĂŒber den angrenzenden Markt laufen, der abends doch ganz schön nach FischabfĂ€llen gerochen hat. Das wurde jedoch morgens regelmĂ€ĂŸig gereinigt. FĂŒr den Preis eine wirklich runde Sache! Alles in allem: Sehr gerne wieder!

Engaging neighborhood

Our stay was quite wonderful and the apartment was impeccably clean and well appointed. My only gripe is not with the host but with VRBO's website. For some reason we couldn't communicate with the host via the site from our cell phone so we had to resort to calling him on his personal line which was kind of difficult to fine on the site as well. We were sorry to have to disturb him in the middle of a meal but there was some important info we needed to have. He was quite lovely about it and gave us all the info we needed.

A Lovely London Flat

Very beautiful flat

We had the best time staying here, the flat is really cute and decorated nicely, complete with fresh flowers on the table! Very friendly and lively neighbourhood and you’re very well connected through bus, underground and overground. Barnaby was very quick and kind in answering any questions we had! Check-in and check-out was also suuuper easy. Thanks for the great stay, we hope to come back soon!

Small and perfectly formed

This flat is a little London nest of loveliness. Everything, from the insanely comfortable bed to the quirky silver spoons, is carefully and thoughtfully chosen to be both beautiful and functional. As I arrived on a dark, wet night; the flat was a welcome beacon of warmth, with tasteful lighting and well stocked cupboards. I only had to add fresh produce, then relax. The location is perfect, with transport links only minutes away and a variety of shops, supermarkets, restaurants and pubs on the doorstep. Ridley Road market is at the end of the street, one of London’s legendary street markets - vibrant, diverse and full of London colour. Whilst I was there with my daughter, the flat would be especially perfect as a little lovenest for a stylish couple of any age. The landlord was very responsive during my stay and very patient with my random queries.
