à propos de cet hébergement
Light filled Chelsea home off the King's Road, spacious and airy across 2 floors
I'm letting this flat for one month while I'm travelling, and it's not something I do regularly. This is a rare opportunity to stay somewhere that's genuinely set up as a home rather than a rental, in one of the best spots in Chelsea.
I've lived here for a long while and it's one of my favourite addresses I've ever had. The flat is on Hollywood Road, a residential street sitting off Fulham Road (2 min from Kings Road). T
My morning routine starts with a walk to Makers on the King's Road, one of the best specialty coffee and matcha spots in the area. It quickly becomes a habit. The stretch between the King's Road and Fulham Road is dense with brilliant independent cafes and coffee shops, the kind of places where you become a regular within a few days and where the standard is consistently high. For lunch or dinner, Marta is a brilliant Italian restaurant nearby and one of those places you end up returning to without quite planning to. The Hollywood Arms is essentially my local pub and it's a lovely one, right on the road. The Goat in Boots is another excellent pub close by, the kind of proper neighbourhood pub that Chelsea does better than most parts of London. There's a Waitrose on the King's Road for groceries and a Saturday farmers market worth building your morning around.
The flat has been set up properly as a home, not a rental. There are Le Labo products in the bathroom. A cleaner comes regularly and the flat is kept to a high standard throughout. The art on the walls has been collected over time. The furniture is chosen rather than assembled. You can feel the difference between somewhere that's been curated and cared for and somewhere that's been fitted out to let, and this is firmly the former.
The flat is on two floors, which is one of the things I love most about it. On the ground floor there's a large, light-filled living room with high ceilings and good proportions by any standard, let alone London standards. The kitchen is separate, which matters more than it sounds: it keeps the living room as a proper living room, and it has a dining table so meals are meals. There's also a dedicated desk set up for working from home with fast, reliable wifi throughout both floors, which makes the flat genuinely functional for anyone working during their stay.
Upstairs is a completely separate floor given over to the bedroom and ensuite. A queen double bed, its own bathroom, its own space. Going upstairs at the end of the day feels like genuinely leaving the rest of the flat behind. The bedroom is quiet, private, and gets lovely morning light.
The whole flat gets exceptional natural light throughout the day, on both floors, which in London is never a given and here is one of the first things every visitor notices. Hollywood Road itself is calm and residential despite being two minutes from the King's Road. You get all the convenience and energy of Chelsea + lovely restaurants and a pub.
A few practical notes. The kitchen is fully equipped for proper cooking, good knives, the right pans, everything you'd need. The desk on the ground floor is a proper working setup. The wifi is strong on both floors. The flat is cleaned regularly and will be ready to the same standard for your arrival.
Beyond the immediate streets, Chelsea has a lot to offer for a longer stay. Sloane Square is a closeby, with the Royal Court Theatre and the beginning of Belgravia. The Thames Embankment is close enough for a morning run. Battersea Park is just across the bridge. South Kensington's museums are a short walk or one stop on the tube. Sloane Square station puts you on the District and Circle line and into the rest of the city within minutes.
I'm looking for someone who'll stay and enjoy the flat the way I do. In return, you get a month on Hollywood Road in a properly set up home in one of London's best neighbourhoods, in a flat that's not available very often.
Any questions about the flat or the area, feel free to ask. I know this part of Chelsea well and I'm happy to share everything I know.
