We chose this hotel due to its proximity to marleybone station and it was approx 10 min walk to a tube station. We were able to check in slightly early and the area around the hotel was safe. The shower was good and the bed was comfy. The staff were alao friendly.
Very nice. Just what we wanted.
Caring and friendly receptionists that made sure we had everything we needed and always checked in how we were when we got back in the night.
Also super close to Baker Street that brings you directly in to the city center, and to madame Tussauds and The Sherlock Holmes Museum.
Good size room, nice and bright. Attractive building, some care with furniture and decoration. Small desk, adequate, good size bathroom. Wifi works. Usually none around, narrow stairs.
Would make a big difference and make it much more welcoming to have a few more pillows on the bed, and maybe a bedspread?
Terrible experience, room was exceptionally hot and no way of turning off the radiator. We asked staffed and they said they would fix it, got back after our evening out and nothing had changed. Complained again to be told thereâs nothing they could do. The rooms window wouldnât stay open so they provided us with a fan. Iâm fighting for a refund.
The hotel is very small, nothing to write home about except for the service. The staff was wonderful. They treated us so beautifully with great respect and because my partner had a bad hip, they moved us from the top floor to an upgraded room on the second floor. They were extremely helpful, kind, and friendly. If youâre expecting something fantastic this is not your spot if you just want a very reasonable boutique hotel in a superb area. This is your spot if youâre fussy donât go here if you just wanna come home relax put your feet up and go to sleep. Itâs perfect. Nothing above and beyond, but we thoroughly enjoyed our stay no judgement thank you again to the beautiful staff.
The hotel is in a great neighborhood. However, there are no elevators. I had to go up and down 4 flight of narrow stairs going in or out of my room.
When I arrived there the reception of empty. There was no note on the counter, and no one around!! I had to wait for at least 15 minutes for someone to show up! This was in the middle of the day.
Room has no air conditioning, and the window would not stay up for long and it would randomly slide down with a loud noise. The bathroom was very small, the bathroom sink old and very low.
I selected this hotel because it was rated at 9.0 on Expedia!!! Definitely a wrong rating.
Opulent no. Our room was on the top, fourth floor, and the card key did not work. We were out until 8pm so at the desks we were assured that we would get a new key on our return, which was true but it failed to work on the following day. Lady at reception told us that her master key was at home and husband was bringing it in, 30-40 minutes. Not good enough as we were looking to grab our luggage and go sightseeing, which had to be cancelled.
The room was small and a bit tired to say the least. The cold tap did not work and I was scared to undo as it was going to come off. The shower head in the bath leaked from everywhere and was therefore a bit lacking in pressure. The larger of the fans in the room did not work and as there was no air-con, this made it uncomfortable on a night at 18c. Fortunately the bed was comfy and I slept pretty well.
Altogether a very bad experience but wanted to try an independent hotel for a change. Sadly, we will be going back to Premiers and Hiltons from now on.
