A lovely weekend stay

We stayed here for the London Marathon weekend. It was the ideal location to hobble back to after the run. From the moment we arrived at the hotel, we were welcomed and made to feel valued. We liked that the hotel offered a free drink voucher per guest as we didn’t need our room cleaned during our second day of staying at the hotel. The breakfast at the hotel was very good. The hotel held our bags safely all day on the marathon day after we checked out and we were able to collect them easily after the run.

Greeted nicely. Concierge Mash was helpful. Close to Victoria Station. Walking distance to Buckingham palace, Westminster, and city tours…we used Toot. A nice Italian restauant close by. 2 theatres close by.

Online check-in gives option whether to have room cleaned & towels changed daily or not but won’t activate check box to opt out of the eco programme. Check in at front desk gives no option either. I can understand reusing towels for a couple of days but not for 4 days. And what benefit to the environment is there for not making up a bed or wiping round a sink/toilet. I resent this cost cutting exercise especially when it’s not reflected in customer costs.

There was no chargi g plug next to the bed. Room was really nice and updated, but the desk chair was all torn up, which was a big surprise. The plugs were not working, but when I let the front desk now. They had it fixed immediately.
