The bed was great. That’s the only positive you’ll get from me. I selected this spot while in business travel because I enjoy a hot tub and/or swim after work and I also selected for the breakfast. The hot tub was closed and the receptionist kept promising it would be opened until another admitted it was closed all the time. The hot food at the breakfast was burned. The bakery goods were in one case stale and another case molded. I can book anywhere, but not here when visiting Merced

Our room was very comfortable and surprisingly quiet considering its proximity to the highway. Breakfast was good with the exceptoon of the eggs, but plenty of other things available to eat instead.

Outside, the exterior looks very appealing and clean but inside tells a different story. Floors were dirty in the hallway on 3rd floor. They had to move me to another room because 1st room, the heater did not work. 2nd room, horrible showers and water did not drain down so you had to take a shower in a puddle. Overall, I would not recommend this place to stay. For the same cost or even lower price, I should have stayed at the Hampton inn instead but decided to give Holiday Inn a try. That was a mistake I made by giving them a try.
