Never again!

Hotel name has changed and we could not find it. Amenities were not as described. Room picture deceiving. No staff...had to check in at a neighboring hotel. Beach was dirty. Doirs not hung properly and gaps allowed bugs in...total dump.

Not Impressed!! Very disappointed!

I would never stay here again. First off, it has a new name and is being run by another hotel next door. Our friends walked in on rooms that were occupied twice and the keys we were given worked on ALL doors! Mold in the shower, one cup for coffee maker, dirty balcony, and very run-down. Our friends got no where with their complaint at the front desk and went to another hotel.

Didn't like that we had to check in to the hotel next door for the hotel we were staying at. PLUS, it's no longer called the Fairview. It has a different name which threw us off.

Bad experience

Nobody to check us in had to go next store hotel to do so room and balcony were not very clean beds very uncomfortable they over charged us and we are disputing the cost.

First off, the name of the hotel changed to Grand Mackinaw. No signs were posted about the change and we were not contacted. It lead to some confusion when we were trying to find it. Second, the office to our hotel was closed and we had to go to the next hotel over to check in. Our room was dated, had a weird layout and smelled musty, but that I could overlook as it was clean. The biggest complaint is that was water park was closed and we were not notified. The building was open, but it was under construction. There was debris everywhere, shovels, construction equipment etc. When I went back to the other hotel to complain they said we had access to two other waterparks in the area and they had no clue that one was closed. How is that even possible? The whole point we booked at this hotel was the onsite waterpark. We also booked with breakfast being provided but again, they didn’t have that. We got coupons to some local places but that was still like another $75 that we had not anticipated. One water park at the Crown was okay, the other one at Bridge Vista was half shut down…the big slides weren’t open and one day none of the sprinklers and lazy river were turned on. We made the best of it, but we are highly disappointed. Then to top it all off I am guessing a manager yelled at us because my son hopped on a toy car that was by the hotel. He was on it all of ten seconds and we were packing up to leave. That was just the last straw. There is no way I will ever be back.
