Weekend at the Dunes
Publié le 9 juin 2024 sur HomeAwayWe had a wonderful stay. The location of the cabin was great, we walked to the Chicken Shack for dinner and also to the General Store for coffee. The cabin was super clean and welcoming. Not having wi-if or cable was a blessing as it made us truly unplug for the weekend. We had a great time and will definitely return.

Thank you for being excellent guests. The walks at Silver Lake are always soul refreshing. We too have found disconnecting to help us connect better with each other. Please do come back and enjoy Silver Lake in the fall, it is beautiful.

It was really close to all the activities but you still could enjoy a nice quiet evening fire.

It works very well for our family, love the log cabin feel!
Having a garage to keep our machines and things in while staying is a huge bonus!
Guy is great to work with, looking forward to many more stays in coming years!

The house was just as described, kids loved it, close to everything you would want to do.
Publié le 5 sept. 2022 sur HomeAwayThe house was in a perfect location. Took us about 5 minutes to drive to the dunes. Took about 5 minutes to get into town. While at the cabin, we had peace, quiet and plenty of privacy. The cabin was very well kept and decorated. The deck was a great place to view local wildlife. All in all, I don't think you could find a better place to go if you are a regular vacationer into Silver lake. I don't think my family has ever had a better vacation than we did there.

Publié le 30 août 2022 sur HomeAwayThere was no paper or list of house rules or amenities, and there was no wifi ( Internet). We had no way to contact owner, because we did not have service with our carrier (not the owners fault) but we had to drive 6 miles just to have service or
our own Wifi. there was no garage door openers for the garage. Beautiful property and great location but not what was listed. We had brought our grandchildren with us and we
are not from the area so we could not look any thing up on the internet to plan our day. Also bring water with you to drink and cook with. it was hard water left a bad taste in your mouth and made your food taste funny.

House rules are in the contract. There has NEVER been claim for WiFi or internet. Read the listing for that information. The garage doors are controlled from the push-buttons by the passage door. Most guests really appreciate the use of the garage. I lose keys every month, there is no way guests are going to get a garage door controller.
All the major wireless carriers have service in the area, I use Verizon and get 4 bars inside the log home. Sorry about the water, we are running a softener and it is still hard. Attractions are all within walking distance. See the notebook in the side table drawer for lists of recommended places to dine and go for entertainment.
I hope your next trip is more enjoyable.
