Great location Gem!
Publié le 14 juin 2024 sur HomeAwayClose to everything! Orlando attractions less than an hour away, Cocoa beach minutes away. Very quiet and peaceful neighborhood. Very attentive hosts and a great value. Overall a very pleasant stay.

Celebration of life
Publié le 21 mai 2024 sur HomeAwayWe came to the area for a celebration of life and needed a place that would be close and comfortable for out short stay. The VRBO was clean and comfortable and was just what we needed for our stay. It was close to many food options as well as the Coca beach pier. I would stay here again.

This house is very comfortable and clean! We appreciated the quiet neighborhood. This house was very easy to find and close to many nice beaches. We went to Tables Beach which is free parking and then to Lori Wilson Park which is also free parking.

Good idea, but needs better upkeep, maintenance, and cleaning
Publié le 16 févr. 2024 sur HomeAwayThe home had been remodeled at some point (2008?), but there doesn't seem to be good upkeep or maintenance being done as things break or wear (ie: outlets, lighting fixtures, to name a couple). Aside from the sheets and towels appearing cleaned, there didn't seem to be much effort done to clean the floors, vents, exhaust fans, ceiling fans, of tops of horizontal surfaces. We spent several hours cleaning the bathroom, kitchen, and other areas before feeling comfortable, and ignored the dirty floors, vents, drawers, laundry room. Mice droppings and roaches were found. The garage would have been nice to use, but an extra washer and dryer being stored there made it so we couldn't fit our van inside.
Good ideas to consider:
~ The bathrooms could use some hooks to hang towels, robes, etc. on, as there isn't anywhere to temporarily place things when in the shower (except a dirty shower bar with rusted curtain hooks).
~ Mismatched and missing lightbulbs should be replaced, and more than one light fixture had wiring issues that may lead to electrical issues down the road.
~ More than one outlet was coming loose in its affixed place.

I have managed multi-family (my own, and for others) rentals from 1990 to 2017, managed a couple single-family homes on the side, and worked professionally as a multi-family property manager for a management company from 2004 to 2017. This review takes into consideration my opinions developed from being both a renter and landlord/mgmt.

Hello Christopher and thank you for taking the time to review Island Charm. We always strive for 5 stars and we apologize that we did not meet your expectations. We appreciate the communication you kept throughout your stay and wish we could have extended your stay as you requested. Only issues we came across was check out time ( our cleaners had to wait outside for 30 minutes) and not returning the house to the state it was in at check -in (all hurricane shutters were closed).

Cozy little house
Publié le 19 août 2023 sur HomeAwayThe house was clean, we enjoyed the beaches aroundd. Very close to stores and restaurants. The only issue with the house was that we found roaches in every room.. big and small.

It was our very first time booking a house of any sorts and we absolutely loved our stay. We had no problem entering the property and we had everything we needed during our stay.
