On the Lake & Wine Trail & a Perfect Getaway for 16+ With an ADA Suite!

Please enjoy our large Victorian with 2 turrets on 5 acres. Sleeps 16. All 6 suites have beautiful views of the 3 acre lake. Each suite upstairs has a private bathroom, closet, mini chiller, and adjustable thermostat. Outdoor spaces include a wrap around porch, covered pavilion and a dock. The ADA apartment suite has private parking near a ramp up to the private entrance, 2 bedrooms, bathroom, fireplace and living area.

Outdoor amenities: fire pit, covered pavilion with seating, dock, fishing poles, John boat with prop motor and battery, paddle boat, cornhole, wrap around porch, porch swing, gas grill, bocce ball, beach towels, and dog towels.

Kitchen amenities: spices, oils, electric skillet, indoor JennAir grill and griddle, 2 crock pots, pots and pans, Keurig, coffee pot, additional catering kitchen with double door refrigerator and chest freezer, wine glasses, snack bar, coffee bar, and kettle.

Suggested and approximate room price break down if you are sharing expenses.

Room 1: King TemperPedic bed. Private bath. $150 per night.

Room 2: Comfy King bed in a huge turret. Keurig, coffee and sitting area. Eleven windows! Private bath. $165 per night.

Room 3: King bed and a couch futon. Three person occupancy. Private bath. $150 per night.

Room 4: Huge split king bed with adjustable frames. Lucid Memory Foam. Soaker tub only. No shower. Private bathroom. $150 per night.

Room 5: King bed with Serta mattress in a turret with 4 wrap around windows. Private bath. $150 per night.

Apartment Suite. ADA compliant. No stairs. Room A and B share a living and small dining area, fireplace, TV, kitchenette with coffee pot, microwave and refrigerator, and an en-suite bathroom. Private entrance on the deck and ramp to a private parking space. A shower chair, portable metal wheelchair ramp and threshold wedge are available.

Room A: Queen bed $145 per night.

Room B: Double bed. This room has no windows. $145 per night.
We have 30 and 50 amp RV and EV hook ups!

We had a lovely stay! The space was perfect for our family gathering. Our host was very responsive and welcoming. The home has a great location and we were able to enjoy some lovely hikes in the Shawnee and delicious BBQ in Murphysboro!

I stayed with a group of friends for a crafting retreat we do every year and this was our favorite location we've been to! The house was wonderful, the beds were comfy, the rooms were spacious, and the kitchen had everything we needed. All of the bedrooms were actual private bedrooms, not other rooms turned into bedrooms. Victoria came over and met us the first day and was very helpful and responsive. The house felt very private and the view over the lake was gorgeous especially in the morning, but there were still groceries and restaurants nearby. A couple of us got massages at the house and highly recommend adding that on - our massage therapist was very good and it was super convenient having her come to us!

This place was PERFECT for our family from all over the country!

We so enjoyed this home for our family reunion!! Family from Georgia, California, Ohio and Oregon stayed in the home. We had our reunion at the home on Saturday. Other family from near hear in Illinois gathered from around. We had almost 50 family from 2-year-olds through 88-year-olds! Got to celebrate my only living uncle's birthday! The wrap around porch was perfect all day long. Weather was good all weekend for us. When the sun got a little too hot we just kept moving around the porch to find the shade and nice breeze! Sooo much room to spread out! Bedrooms were great!! Event room on bottom level allowed all 50 of us to sit at tables. Some fished! We loved it so much we are thinking about coming back in Fall 2025 for a nearby family wedding! Loved it!!

Great place for a group

This was a perfect place for our family members from all over the US to stay for our son's wedding. Every room had its own bath. The kitchen had everything we needed. The great room had a giant sectional where we hung out and talked and played board games. Victoria is a very thoughtful host too. Highly recommend.

Beautiful Property

My family and I rented this property to get together for a weekend and absolutely loved it. The house had everything we needed, the grounds were perfect for our dogs and kids to run around, and the host always responded promptly to any questions we had. Perfect for SIU Law School Graduation

Our family drove about 4 hours to Carbondale. It was approximately 10 minutes from the graduation ceremony. It was perfect for all of us. I can’t imagine enjoying the weekend anymore than we did. It was perfect for us to celebrate and enjoy our son’s JD weekend. Thanks for everything!

Parents 50th anniversary celebration

The property was perfect for our needs and afforded everyone plenty of space and room to run. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed to prepare our meals and extra refrigerator/freezer space to accommodate a long weekend. With family in the area, we plan to return in the future.

Fantastic Getaway

We had a reunion/retirement party at the Labrador Lakehouse Inn and I cant stress just how mich fun it was. The property was well maintained and the proprietor was easy to communicate with. Will have to stay here again when the weather is warmer to take advantage of the lake. Thanks!

Great for multiple families

We had a great time for our family vacation. The pond offered fun water activities for the days/afternoons we weren’t hiking. The rooms all having private bathrooms was nice although the bathrooms were very basic and lacked storage. Host was very responsive when we had questions. Fun collection of vintage memorabilia but they did cause some clutter especially with 3 families. Overall a good stay. It is a bit of a drive to some of the Shawnee Natl Forest trails if that’s your thing.

End of Summer Celebration with Friends

We had 5 families of friends join us for an end of summer celebration. We loved that we all had our own bathrooms and showers/tubs. It was big enough so that the kids could do their thing away from the adults, but close enough to keep tabs. We all hadn't vacationed together; and this venue with its size and emenities allowed for success. We loved it so much that we're planning to make this an annual tradition. Thank you Labrador Lakehouse!

The perfect stay!

We have nothing but praise for Labrador Lakehouse Inn & Wedding Venue. This lovely Victorian house accommodated our high school-aged Perfectos baseball team that played at SIU over the weekend. The space is spectacular with its beautifully decorated, spacious rooms and number of bathrooms. What a delightful house and property! Our hostess made sure the guys had everything they needed to fish the picturesque lake at the back of the property. The team also enjoyed playing corn hole in the back yard and all kinds of games in the basement. The open kitchen made preparing meals a breeze. We marveled at the response time of our hostess, as though she had her app open every second of the day. Not that we needed her that much, but she was so helpful and available to make sure we had what we needed. When we needed something, she actually came and dealt with it in person and then when our schedule changed twice, she allowed us to have a late checkout with no hesitation. It was a pleasure working with her and our team made great memories over the weekend at Labrador Lakehouse. The area is stunning with its lush, rolling landscape. There are several wineries in the vicinity with great food, live music and outdoor dining areas plus very cool antique shops. You feel like you’re pleasantly secluded in the back woods yet the college town of Carbondale is just minutes away with its lively culture, restaurants, and shopping. We cannot recommend Labrador Lakehouse highly enough.

This place is on a whole other level of Paradise.We spent Memorial day weekend here .

Our experience was AMAZING. The Host could not have been more AWESOME if she tried. Book this place you will NOT be sorry. We will DEFINITELY be booking again.
