As a guest of Mermaid Inn, you'll find a seasonal outdoor pool, a terrace, and a vending machine. Public spaces have free WiFi. Mermaid Inn also features a garden, a picnic area, and express check-in. Limited free parking is available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Clean and safe nice location but nobody ever answered the phone or was in the office if you need anything. Also power went out leading to a childâs injury. And they have yet to call answer message anything back about the aotuation
Overall the hotel was great!! Walking distance to the beach, has a pool and convenient to stores and food. I will stay here again but not in the same month. I happened to go while a school was there for spring break and it was loud at times even after hours and they left a mess.
I loved how close to the ocean this was! The parking was fine. You can tell itâs an old motel that the owners have spit shined and done a great job. Some of the things were weird, the bathroom door had white tape all over like it was kicked in almost, the toilet paper roll was empty sitting in the holder, etc. but those are just small things that didnât super impact the stay. The beds were super comfortable and the room was clean, thatâs the biggest thing for me! Iâm a stickler for that! The contactless check in was awesome, too! But the fact it was just a nice little place in the middle of all the chaos of the huge resorts is what sold it for us! Will stay here again when we make it back to Myrtle!
I requested earlier check in, but couldnât check in until 4pm After waiting around for check in, the keypad on my unitâs door did not work at all. This resulted in me having to contact the property and go find a hard key. Thereâs no staff on site, and everything is remote which added to the inconvenience. The room was mid, and the bed squeaked with every movement. You get what you pay for I guess.
The motel was basic with no frills but very clean and suited me perfectly. I traveled with my 2 dogs and our accommodations were very good. The location was perfect - right off the beach with excellent areas to walk my pups. Check in was different than Iâve had at other motels/hotels. It was done via text. No one was actually on the property but instructions were clear and went well. I will definitely return!
Love that itâs just steps away from the beach, and thereâs a nice park right next door. The room appliances, furniture, TV and bathroom counter are all new. However, the AC smelled like mold, the tub had missing caulking, and the blackout curtains left so much light in we slept pretty poorly. However, we would totally stay again and just bring our travel Sleepout blackout curtains.
It was an amazing stay. I really do recommend. Not a new hotel, but new renovations. Beds are comfortabe, u cant beat the view not from the hotel necessarily but theres a spot u can park at and look over the ocean breath takin sunrises.
Upon arrival the door code provided by text msg didn't work so they changed it to their general code. The room was warm (it was 100 degrees out). There is no light switch until you fully enter the room. The drapes do not close fully and this was first floor a couple rooms from the outdoor pool. There were no hangers for the clothes rack. The furnishings are newer. However, as discovered after putting my food in the warm refrigerator (I turned it up)...the refrigerator didn't work (lost all the food I brought), the air conditioner ran continuously but did not cool (it was warm and stagnant). There is no front desk, all communications are via text. After a couple days, they brought the refrigerator from the room next door and installed a new air conditioner. They reset the door lock pad. I discovered later that the door now doesn't lock at all. Anyone walking by and noticing a green light on the lock will know it's not locked. I told them to bring something to close the curtains and they gave me 2 binder clips (I was going to go to a store to buy these). I was scheduled to be there until Saturday and I left on Thursday....2 more nights paid for but couldn't safely stay there. No refund was offered...in fact, they asked if I'd like to extend my stay! This is all unacceptable.
