Great long weekend!

Only complaint was the gravel road to the property was a bit tough to travel on after a storm, lots of potholes. But otherwise great!

Nice pet friendly getaway

Nice little cabin on a beautiful piece of property. The dirt road leading to the house was very narrow and bumpy but looks like they were in the process of smoothing out the road. The cabin is very cute inside and clean. We had three people so inside there’s not a lot of seating but it’s a tiny house so there’s not a lot of space for them to add additional seating. Just something to keep in mind. They do allow dogs. Our dog really enjoyed swimming in the pond. Wish they’d had a hose to bath her but it’s not a muddy pond and she didn’t stink afterwards either so it worked out.

Another great getaway in Upstate NY :)

This property is perfect for a fun getaway over the long weekend. Very private, but allows for easy access to Albany, Schenectady and the Hudson Valley. Lots of nice trails nearby and it's only a 25-minute drive to access the Berkshires in MASS. This was our second stay here and we would stay again. Thank you.

Long House in Nassau NY

This house was perfect for us. It located off the main road next to a pond. So no street noise and very quiet. It is a tiny house, about 400 square feet - perfect for my wife and I and our 2 scottie dogs. The dogs enjoyed the woods and all the good sniffs along the trails. Everything we need was provided. Things couldn' thave gone any smoother and Alysia was an excellent host. We would definite stay here again.

Will I stay there again

The property was beautiful. My sister & enjoyed feeding the donkeys We were unable to use the washer/dryer the owners forgot to clean it. We had to move the machine put a rubber band & plastic bag over it. I contacted the owners. They never came out & dealt with it. Propane ran out. The beautiful amber colored fire pit didn’t work. I would not stay there again.

Beautiful, peaceful setting w/ new, clean, functional small cabin/house

The outdoors around the house are fantastic, from the lawn, to the pond, to the trails, and the multiple outside sitting places. The house itself is great, very practical, comfortable beds. The indoors are definitely more of a base-of-operations as opposed to a place for an inside staycation. Kitchen is totally functional, but not for indoor cooking a big meal. Had toaster, microwave, and stove top, but no oven. Nice outdoor grill.

It was a fun getaway. The kids loved the donkeys, walking the trails was fun (just make sure you check for ticks!) and paddle boating in the pond. The long house was a sweet little space with everything you need! The hosts are easy to get in touch with and gave us suggestions for things to do in the area.

Vacation

We had a good experience. The area was very tranquil. Some suggestions I would give however is to definitely put a non-skid mat in the stand up shower especially because of young children. The other suggestion is regarding the stove it took at least 30 minutes to heat up before we could cook, and cooking simple things like bacon took a long time. When we used the stove the lights in the house would flicker. Other than that we truly enjoyed our stay.

Short Get Away

Our stay was great! I set out looking for a place that was somewhat secluded, but close to conveniences such as a supermarket. We arrived and found that we got exactly what we were looking for. The longhouse is set on a lake with 3 other properties around it but spread out. When we arrived someone was at the tiny house, but the farmhouse was empty. Guests arrived at the farmhouse as we were leaving. The scheduling worked out great since the lake was usually empty when we wanted to use it during the late morning and early afternoon. Each house has its own pedal boat, kayak, etc. and because the farmhouse had no guests we were able to use their equipment as well. The longhouse is the only one that has an actual dock which was great although stairs would have made the dock perfect. The lake also has a floating trampoline which my son loved using. The actual container longhouse is an amazing accommodation and very well thought out. Most things that we needed were provided, both for the lake and for cooking and bathing. The bedrooms are on opposite ends with the bathroom closest to the left and the kitchen closest to the right. The bathroom is a good size. The inside couch only sits 2-3 people, but we were mostly outdoors so that was fine. There is a/c and heating right above the couch and a tv that we didn't use. The electric stove top takes a little longer to heat up than I am used to with a gas stove, but if you turn it on early you are good to go. There is no oven. You can also use the burner on the outside grill. There is an outdoor eating area which we used a couple of times. There is also an outdoor sitting area where we spent most nights with our 2 small, senior dogs either reading or playing on our phones. You can actually hear the night while sitting out there and we could have sworn we saw bats for a few minutes each evening which was great because we noticed very little bugs compared to other places we have stayed. The mini donkeys were adorable and my son brushed and fed them. We also spotted some deer. Overall this was a great place to stay at and we might consider it again.

This is a hidden gem!! Whether you want a place to sit and relax, play in the pond, go for a hike, chill with the donkeys, or hit the road to see the local sites and get some great BBQ, it has it all. But there really isn’t a need to leave the grounds if you stop at the grocery store or get takeout on your way in. The home and the grounds are perfect for dogs!! We already booked our next stay because we loved it so much:)

This property is everything it boasts and more! This cute, quaint lakeside retreat has everything you could want when it comes to a cabin get away.
