My husband and I stayed in the Merrimac room, and we enjoyed our three nights’ stay immensely! The hotel itself is a historic landmark and is very well maintained by the owners, Caitlin and her husband Chris. The breakfast in the garden room was plentiful and delicious. The onsite parking was a big plus, as was the location to all the downtown restaurants and attractions. We hope to return to Newburyport, and will definitely stay here again. Thank you Caitlin and Chris!

This is a beautiful old house from the early 1800’s full of interesting furniture, paintings and decor. I felt like I was comfortably living in the past but with modern air conditioning and internet. The location is an easy walk to most of downtown Newburyport. The inn atmosphere made it easy either to interact with other guests or to have privacy if needed. Breakfast was delicious and provided another opportunity to chat with other guests. The staff was friendly and accommodating, and especially Caitlin was gracious, welcoming and helpful.

The Clark Currier Inn is the benchmark that I will use for all future B&B stays. The accommodations are very clean, comfortable, and convenient. The facility is very nicely appointed with the appropriate furnishings. Even though we appreciated everything about the Inn itself, everything takes second place when compared to the breakfast they serve. I can't say enough good about the food! We stayed three very comfortable nights here and were so happy we did. If we ever travel back to Newburyport, we will book this location again.

I can’t believe the reviews are so good. Our room was so dirty. Instead of having fresh baked goods which I’m used to at a b&b, they had Hershey kisses, which is fine, but there were 2 Hershey kiss wrappers on the floor of our room when we went in. When I went to pick them up, my tissue came up with a handful of hair. Breakfast was just ok. It’s like the bare minimum required to call it a hot breakfast. This place was a disappointment.

We had a lovely stay in this historic home. Our room was quite warm with only a small fan. Window sashes broken so hard to prop open for ventilation. Breakfast was wonderful. We would come again.
