Great location but pictures are better then advertised
Publié le 29 janv. 2024 sur HomeAwayThe place was very run down…electricity and fuses went out twice during our stay…there was no hot water in the bathroom upstairs and we asked maintenance and they basically said it’s not a big deal..no mirrors in the bathroom upstairs….the guesthouse where one couple had to sleep was dark and musty and smelled…this home was incredibly expensive for the condition we lived in for the week…

Regarding the electricity and fuse issues, we want to clarify that they were caused by power outages from the local power company, and unfortunately, these circumstances are beyond our control. We understand the frustration this may have caused.

Great vacation

The location is great.The house is located right between the high rise hotel area and the California lighthouse. The house sits directly across the street from a very popular beach area for snorkeling.

Great location
Publié le 12 oct. 2023 sur HomeAwayOverall we had a pleasant stay, despite some issues and inconveniences. Property manager was quick to rectify issues. Check in process was frustrating when we realized we were short a bedroom, come to find out that there were a set of unmarked keys on the kitchen counter and the bedroom was only to be accessed from outside the property (no interior entrance). There is only one key for the main entrance which needs to be used to enter AND exit, and when traveling with a big group that can be a major inconvenience for coming and going. House was beautiful, location was great. We would stay again.

Lovely Home in Noord
Publié le 28 sept. 2023 sur HomeAwayLoved this lovely, modern home in Noord. A spacious home with a lovely private pool & a commute of a few seconds to access the beach of Boca Catalina. Less than a 10 min walk to Arashi Beach!
PROS: THE LOCATION!!!! Literally cross the street & BAM, beach. The pool feels like a private resort! Outside shower, a foot bath for sand rinses, and 2 outdoor toilets for pool relief. The neighborhood itself feels high end, quiet & serene. The house is a clean, modern home with loads of space, polished floors, & a chic vibe. Dining tables both up/downstairs, 2 separate "living room" areas on both floors, & several areas to catch a private moment. The larger upstairs bedrooms both have balconies with incredible views of Boca Catalina beach & almost every bedroom has an en suite. Lots of bedrooms, comfortable beds, ample closet space if you're unpacker as well. The local rental company is SO easy to communicate with & was quick to respond to communication & act where necessary. Spacious kitchen & generous dining table/kitchen island to gather & socialize.
Our CONS: Air conditioning. Aruba's hot & this house has small, mounted units that struggle to keep the house cool. The bedroom upstairs with the palatial bathroom closet has 00 fans/AC in the bathroom- SWELTERING in there. 00 containers for food storage & a small fridge for those those that like to cook. Glassware- limited cocktail/wine glasses & mostly plastic glassware for other drinks. Seemed off at this $ point

Great home and location!
Publié le 12 juill. 2023 sur HomeAwayThis was an excellent property for our family of 11. We had a great stay overall and would return! The biggest plus is that the beach is directly across the street making it extremely convenient and awesome ocean views from some of the bedrooms.
One bathroom had no shower curtain so we did not use it much as water would spill all over the floor. That should be addressed for future guest.
Also, the best of the master bedrooms has a separate entry from the house. We found this room by mistake after the 3rd night and we are glad we did!

Amazing

Great house for family
Publié le 23 mars 2023 sur HomeAwayLarge house with great space and location. House was clean. Minimal household items included for longer stays such as trash bags and soap. Need to pack or buy everything for yourself if staying more than 3-4 days. Pool cleaner didn’t do much besides drop a chlorine tablet in the pool, needs a pool vacuum at least daily due to trees.
All being said, you choose a place like this for location and space and those are both great.

There were also broken window panes, cracked tiles, warped floors, peeling paint, etc. We did not have water in one of the bathrooms, one shower did not work properly and we had some electrical issues as well as a dirty pool. In short, the house did not appear as nice as it did in the listing. The first 24 hours were pretty much a disaster since we were on the phone with the property management team and VRBO all evening as well as hosting a maintenance man, cleaning crew and plumber that evening and the next day. Not a great start to our week! We were disappointed to say the least. Once the repairs were made, the week improved. Aruba is beautiful and we enjoyed the island immensely. The house was a good size for our needs (8 adults) but definitely needs some serious TLC and the rental rate should be adjusted accordingly. It is listed as 5 beds/4 baths but the 4th bath is really tiny and poorly constructed which does not allow the water to drain well. This was the most expensive rental we've booked through VRBO and the least nice accommodations.
