My room had a cracked window, which I didn’t care too much about. I just informed the front desk and closed the blinds. But I woke up at 4:20 am to water dripping from the ceiling. They put me in another room, but not impressive.

Overall this was a good hotel, just a couple of things that were not optimal. 1. Elevator broke down, understand things happen but the hotel was sold out and we were on the 4th floor so waiting for the one elevator took a little longer than normal. 2. The beds are not queen, must be full size, tight squeeze for 2 adults. 3. VERY noisy, super thin walls and kids were up and down our hall loud talking, laughing.

The Hotel was clean & had recently been remodeled. but really THE STAFF WAS FANTASTIC. They were helpful & police & had great customer service. That was worth so much & now i know i want to stay at a LaQuinta again. I will be looking for the same level of customer service!

Close to University of Oklahoma

We visited Norman Ok to watch the first and second rounds of the NCAA Women’s Basketball Tournament at the University of Oklahoma. It was a short drive to the arena and there were plenty of restaurants within walking distance. Staff was very friendly. It is showing some age but overall clean and comfortable. The price was great. There were a lot of construction workers staying there at the time and apparently marijuana is legal in Oklahoma because you could smell people smoking a lot out in the parking lot and the smell of Mary Jane lofted throughout out the hotel. Again it was probably just bad timing as to who else was staying there. I’m not a prude and never felt unsafe. It was just smelled a lot. It’s easy access right off the interstate and I would stay again.

Not the property fault but they really should pit up poop bag locations and trash cans. No one cleans up after dogs. Also they gave someone else a key to my room at night. Was startling. Glad I locked the extra lock

Easy on/off interstate with Red Robin and Casa Blanco very close and IHop right next door. Staff very pleasant and check-in quick and easy. Rooms have refrigerator, microwave, and coffee. Very quiet, comfortable, and pleasant stay.

Disappointed

The hotel is old and despite the fact that they have tried to update the actual rooms, the elevators and common areas are in bad shape. The room updates are cheap and one door knob had already fallen off. They patched popcorn ceiling. The quality is not there.

The main hall on the second floor stinks like body oder. It never went away. There was blood on our comforter. Service to the room was only offered after 3 nights. Which is what we stayed. Would be nice to have daily service as most hotels are doing this now that Covid is over. Breakfast was okay. Many places switch up the meat everyday and this did not happen. Same undercooked sasuage every day.

Not so great stay

Employees were terribly unprofessional. We walk in for early check-in at 1:30 and both of them are laying on the couches out in the lobby. We weren’t able to early check in which is fine so we use the restroom and came out and they went back, laying on the couches so unprofessional made it seem like we were bothering them because they had to get up and come to the front desk. Then we check into our room later that evening and go to bed later that night and the beds are so uncomfortable felt like I was rolling in a hole and then the pillows were absolutely terrible. Worst ever lumpy gave me headache made my neck hurt absolutely terrible.

Needs some TLC

Room was clean, but the main areas could use some TLC. Elevator is dirty and walls are all scratched up. It was the same 1 year ago when we stayed. Rugs in entry and covered in stains. A tiny bit of maintenance would give a much better impression!

Our grandsons thoughts

Our grandson kept saying. “ this is a really nicwe hotel”. From the moment he spied the pool from the lobby till after a wonderful breakfast. He loved serving himself at breakfast. And the snack room was a big hit.
