Garden House - Located in a quiet residential neighborhood, yet still conveniently located. Garden House is less than a 10 minute ride to All Star Village baseball tournaments in Oneonta NY. It is also in close proximity to SUNY Oneonta and Hartwick College in Oneonta. Other attractions near by include Gilbert Lake State Park, Ommegang Brewery and The National Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown.

It sits on a well groomed lot with floral gardens that have been planned to be in bloom continually from early spring to late summer. There is a pleasant stone patio in the back yard that is ideal for outdoor dining and relaxing. Guests are welcome to enjoy the large well-groomed back yard. Plenty of room to practice baseball skills!

This inviting home has a large living room and a separate dining room. A recently built breezeway flows out to a stone patio area with gas grill. There are 3 bedrooms and 2 full baths - one bath on each floor. The baths have been updated with contemporary tile work. The interior is very well kept and has a comfortable inviting atmosphere. A game room in the finished basement gives you a chance to unwind.

Note: In the winter months the breezeway is unavailable as it is used as a greenhouse for outside plants.

We enjoyed the lovely heritage home of a family that has been in the Oneonta area for decades. This was a trip for a senior returning to the area of his childhood and high school years. The home was about 10 to 15 minutes from anything we visiting in Oneonta. The home, built in 1935, was a little short on outlets in the bedrooms.

Absolutely wonderful home and hosts! Warm hospitality. Perfectly clean and cozy home. Comfortable for the traveling grandparents and fun in the basement and yard for the kids. Would give 50 star rating if I could. Hope to have the opportunity to stay here again.

Amazing yard

We had good communication from the house host, but didnt love being shown around when we first arrived for 30 min as we had limited time to rest before needing to leave. It was a clean house that was in it original form. The yard was amazing and a great hang out. The location to the ball field was good. Food spots is not super close but we used door dash. Super comfy beds. We did not love the water was yellowish and we did not have any counter space in the bathroom for makeup etc. We also did not love the house was cooled by swamp coolers in each room and they mysteriously turned off when we were away from the house making it super hot when we returned. We would have liked more sofa seating in the living areas as they only sat 3 people comfortably.

Little piece of paradise

Quiet New York State

This home was minutes from the campus of SUNY Oneonta and between the amount of the rooms the house provided and its location it worked perfectly for our stay in New York. The property owners were also very nice and accommodating.

Garden House Stay

We were two retired couples visiting Cooperstown Baseball Hall of Fame. The Garden House was a short drive from Cooperstown in a lovely location. The home is an older home with lots of hardwood flooring and trim. The yard and landscaping was very pretty. Anne and Dave are great hosts and a pleasure to meet. We were able to check out Oneonta and Cooperstown which were both quaint and nice places to visit.
