My stay at The Rise Osaka was a huge disappointment. The rooms were dirty, run down, and far smaller than the photos suggested, with worn-out furniture and barely any space to move around. The air conditioning gave off a terrible smell, and the TVs hardly worked when using streaming services — constantly freezing or crashing. To make things worse, the elevators were an absolute nightmare; in the mornings it could take up to 20 minutes just to get downstairs because everyone was waiting to use them. The location was also a bit inconvenient compared to other hotels in Osaka, making it harder to get around easily. For the price, you’d expect at least a basic level of comfort, but instead it felt neglected, outdated, and frustrating from start to finish. I regret booking here and would not recommend it to anyone.

Room was comfortable, clean and quiet. Staff helpful and attentive. Convenient location being around 10 minutes walk from Osaka station. The rooms are very small, pretty standard for Japan but something that may surprise western travellers. The only negative is that if you want to travel around the city on your check out day they charge to hold your suitcase, it isn’t much but every other hotel I’ve ever stayed in does this for free.

Nice hotel in a quiet business area. Lots of convenience stores around and higher priced restaurants nearby. More affordable options are a bit farther away. Easy access to several metro and rail lines. Found some hair from previous guests and WiFi was terrible.

Hat nicht wirklich überzeugt.

Es war ein sehr sehr kleines Zimmer mit eingebauter WC-Dusch-Bad-Kabine. Wir konnten den Koffer kaum öffnen, so wenig Platz hatte es. Auch hat die Klima-Anlage direkt auf das eine Bett gezielt, so dass man entweder das Krankwerden riskierte oder schwitzen musste. Meine Hausstauballergie hat auch reagiert (Federbetten und Klimaanlage). Auch wurden nur Abfall entsorgt und neue Handtücher gebracht. Bettenservice gehört hier nicht dazu. Das Personal war nett, jedoch als ich eine Rechnung verlangte, vollständig überfordert. Weiter hielt der Lift immer vom Eingang (1. UG) im EG (Lobby) an, damit geschaut werden konnte, wer weiter hoch fährt. Dies trotz Überwachungskamera im 1. UG vor dem Lift und im Lift. Ich habe mich nicht wohl gefühlt. Das Frühstück (entweder Western oder Japanese) war super. Das gesamte Personal nett. Einzig die Location hat mich nicht wirklich überzeugt. Auch hatte es aussen 2 "Homeless People", was mir für das Quartier ein schlechtes Gefühlt gab. Sonst in Osaka habe ich nie Obdachlose gesehen. Die U-Bahn-Station war auch relativ weit weg im Vergleich zu anderen Unterkünften, wo wir nicht soweit den Koffer schleppen mussten. Das war aber meine ungenügende Abklärung. Gefühlt ein 2-Stern-Hotel, auch wenn es 3-Sterne hat. Ich habe weitere 3-Stern-Hotel auf meiner Japanreise gehabt, die deutlich auf höherem Niveau waren. Auch die Fotos auf dem Netz waren sehr gut "gemacht", um nach mehr auszusehen.

The breakfast was good though not buffet style or selection variety (eg., Western or Japanese). The location is in Osaka city center and close to shops and transportation. However, the room is small, bathroom is tight, and work area barely fits a small MacBook. The hotel has paid laundry, no fitness center and no onsen/pool.
