Great Spot for All Ages
Publié le 31 mai 2024 sur HomeAwayWe met at the beach house from all across the country to celebrate a family wedding. The house was perfect for all, ages 10-85. Plenty of space reunite as a group, as well as finding a quiet space for those needing a time out.

Excellent beach stay!

I will say the kitchen downstairs could use supplies, such as dishware, cups, bottle opener, etc. Everything was very clean & comfortable when we arrived. We would stay here again.

Annual family weekend

The home was beautiful and the location was perfect, just steps away from the beach. There was plenty of room for all families to be comfortable. We all loved hanging out together in the large living room with ocean views. Check in was very easy. The kitchen was well stocked with plates, cups, utensils, pots & pans, etc... There is a Von's really close by for any forgotten items. Everyone agreed that this home was one of the best we have stayed in.

GG's pre-90th birthday celebration
Publié le 12 avr. 2024 sur HomeAwayThe house was perfect for our family--4 couples and 7 children. Roomy for some quiet time if desired and plenty of seating for together time. The set-up was great, kitchen well stocked with dishes, pots and pans, etc. Tech stuff all worked. Plenty of beach toys for the little ones.
I live in the area and needed a BIG place for all my family and this worked out very well. Would stay again.

great beach house!
Publié le 8 janv. 2024 sur HomeAwayThis was a great place for my family to gather for a week of family time with a side of the beach! We appreciated having plenty of bedroom space. We loved the very large living room and open kitchen - it was very nice for family hangout time. The kitchen was well-equipped and functional. It was a joy to be able to send kids onto the sand and see them from the patio near the kitchen. No major issues/would recommend and would happily return.

Publié le 6 janv. 2024 sur HomeAwayHouse and location worked out great for all of our CA travelers. The pull out beds were not comfortable and had to go buy an air mattress. We had 20+ guests and did not have enough bath towels and kitchen towels. If renting this house, I would definitely make sure you bring more of the everyday items.

This guest had a reservation for 20 people and not 20+. In speaking with housekeeping, 28 beach or bath towels are routinely left for our guests. This was more than enough towels for the 20 guests that we were expecting. Housekeeping routinely leaves 3 kitchen towels. I have instructed them to increase that number to 4.
We only have one pullout couch in the house, and I will admit that pullout beds are not the most comfortable beds to sleep on.

Perfect Site for a Family Gathering
Publié le 13 déc. 2023 sur HomeAwayThis was our 3rd annual Christmas Family Gathering at a VRBO. The Mandalay House was perfect for us! With my husband and I were our four adult children, their spouses and 6 grand children ages 7 to 10. What was important to us was a large family gathering room, large adjoining kitchen, at least 6 bedrooms and outdoor play space. We all thought that the configuration of the bedrooms and bathrooms was rather interesting, but the beds were very comfortable (including the two "MurphyBeds", there was plenty of hot water & water pressure and towels in the bathrooms, and the penthouse kitchen & "Grand Room" were simply amazing. Our only slight concern was the minimal kitchen dish soap, hand towels and drying towels - but since our advance materials noted that limited amounts were provided we had brought lots of our own as we were cooking all our our meals at the house. We all loved the panoramic views from the kitchen & adjoining Great Room (particularly the sunsets), being able to walk out the front door onto the beach and take the very short walk over to the huge, fantastic public park. All in all, great location!!! Also appreciated the advance information and rapid reply to questions asked from our host.
