Incredible panoramic views of the Caribbean and St. Barts! The Jewel has been completely renovated. Now the Jewel has a 5th bedroom and bath with its own entrance for grandparents or those wishing more privacy from the group.We do not rent this studio separately but do include it in the 5 bedroom price. The studio has one queen and a set of bunk beds. The 4 master bedrooms have king beds one with an additional queen futon sleeper.

Villa Caribbean Jewel is located in the exclusive gated community of Tamarind Hill Estates on the Dutch side of the island near the French/Dutch border. A few minutes drive to Dawn Beach, Orient Beach, and Guana Bay Beach. Numerous outstanding restaurants 2 minutes away. Ten-Fifteen minutes away from the Dutch capital of Philipsburg and shopping.

This luxury Mediterranean-style villa features remote controlled gated entry, lush gardens, extensive balconies and terraces, and a private pool with a disappearing edge.The entire villa can be rented with one, two, three,or four master bedroom suites featuring king sized beds, private balconies, air conditioning, and in-suite baths. We have added a 5th bedroom studio apartment with a kitchen. 5.5 total baths to accommodate 13 guests with an additional sleeper futon in one of the bedrooms. We have a portacrib for our little guests. Each bedroom has a beautiful view of the Caribbean with views of other caribbean islands. Ursula our housekeeper who resides on the property in a separate discreet apt. is available for all your questions and needs. She will escort you from your car rental to the beautiful Caribbean Jewel. This fully equipped private home has it all from the cool caribbean breezes to breathtaking views of the sea, mountains, and gardens.

Keywords: Luxury villa with all the comforts of home. Yes we have a BACKUP GENERATOR that runs the entire villa during a power loss so you never miss a day of paradise. We have a vonage line for free calling to home to check on the family to tell them how wonderful your vacation is. All the beds are kings with private baths in the main house and a queen and bunk bed with a private bath and kitchenette in the 5th bedroom with stairs up to the pool/main floor of the villa. The views are in redoble. I slept with my sliding glass door open every night and had the breeze right on my bed. Absolutely heavenly!!!! Ursula is phenomenal and really enhanced our stay. We loved the meals she cooked for us and she was even able to make an amazing gluten free banana bread and carrot cake. Ginny was kind and very responsive to any questions we had. She sent a 6 page document that really covered the best of the island. Gizmo is a safe and amazing driver. He knows all the speed bumps and best ways to get around the island; skipping as much traffic as possible. We did a 6 hour tour with him and would recommend this!!! The only negative was that the places we had decided to visit/eat were more on the western side of the island, so it meant a 15-20ish minute drive. We were a group of 4 ladies and felt very safe. Highly, highly recommend!!!

Our stay at the Villa Caribbean Jewel was perfect in every way for our party of nine. Ginny was a great host: responsive and supportive. Her recommendations for restaurants and car rental were invaluable. The Villa itself was beautiful ,spacious, and equipped with every amenity, with spectacular views of the ocean shoreline by day and the stars by night. The hidden gem in our stay was Ursula. Not only did she keep the place spotless, she also prepared several luscious meals for us - chicken and ribs, goat and oxtail currys, apple pie and quiches. We came back from several beach days to find fresh guacamole in the fridge. Our stay exceeded all our expectations, it was as if we had our own private resort. We highly recommend staying at the Jewel of the Caribbean.

Best Birthday Ever

I booked the Villa for myself and 11 close friends to help me celebrate my 60th birthday. Ginny (the owner) was so helpful and made sure that everything went smoothly, gave us so many ideas and things to do. She really went out of her way to make this wonderful. In addition, Ursula (Villa staff) was an absolute gem. She helped us navigate all the amenities, as well as show us trails and give so much support. She also prepared a huge birthday dinner that rivaled any restaurant......all I can say is wow....what an amazing experience

Beautiful week with gorgeous views

We had a great stay at Ginny’s house! The house is spacious and the views are amazing! Ursula is a lovely addition and she cooked us a delicious meal on our first night and a cake for my birthday! You’re staying on a mountain and the road in is part of the adventure! We easily traveled to beaches on the French and Dutch sides. Ginny’s recommendations were great and plentiful. A gorgeous retreat

Our family spent a wonderful trip at the Jewel with its amazing view of the ocean and St. Barts in the distance. The house had so much space for our family and each bedroom had its own bathroom and balcony for privacy. Ginny was very helpful with suggestions that made planning our trip a breeze and Ursula was always available to help with cooking or cleaning.We felt very safe as the house is in a gated community and far from main roads - highly recommend having a car as it is a drive to get food and sightseeing.

Amazing time!

We stayed at the Jewel for a week with 4 adults and 4 young kids. We had the best time, if not for the adults wanting to explore the island the kids would have been fine swimming and hanging out at the house. The view is incredible, the house provides everything you could need, and Ursula was so kind making us a meal for the evening we arrived, pina coladas, muffins for the kids. We will only stay at the Jewel when we return.

Absolutely Amazing

If you are looking for the trip of a lifetime visit Sint Maarten and stay at the Jewel. From the moment you walk into the home you will be amazed by the breathtaking views and the spaciousness of the home. The outdoor areas are meticulously maintained. Our family of 10 ranging from ages 8 to 66 had such an amazing time. The property is located that you can easily explore both sides of the island. Ginny was absolutely wonderful. All I can say is if you stay at the Jewel you will not be disappointed. It truly is fabulous.

Truly a Gem

This home is amazing. Four huge bedrooms in the main house plus a separate apartment down below. The views are incredible. You can see out to St. Barths when it's not foggy. Ginny, the host, was fabulous to deal with - she was always willing to answer any questions we had. We had hired Ursula, the housekeeper, to cook for us one night - which expanded to two nights because she was so incredible. There is more than enough room for large families or groups - we were a group of five senior women doing a Girls' Trip - never once did we feel that we were tripping over each other. Only down side is that you are up in the hills and have to drive to get to a beach - or anywhere for that matter - no way to walk there. We would definitely return!

We LOVED staying at Jewel. From the moment we booked, the experience was amazing. Ginny was so helpful. She answered any questions we had quickly and had a great tip sheet with tons of suggestions. When we arrived, Ursala took care of anything we needed. She was fantastic. She cooked for us the first night and made the best guacamole we have ever had. We rented a car but Gizmo drove us several times and he was great. The house is just as pictured. Large spacious rooms and an amazing panoramic view. It was just perfect. We did not want to leave. I highly recommend staying at this villa! We will be back!

Great place to relax with Family and Friends

Our stay at this stunning vacation home was! From the moment we arrived, Ursuella, the host, went above and beyond to ensure we had a memorable experience. Not only is she a fantastic cook (as requested), but she’s also a meticulous housekeeper, skilled handyman, and dedicated caretaker. Her care and attention to detail were evident throughout our stay. Highlights of the Stay: Ursuella’s Expertise: Beyond cooking and housekeeping, Ursuella kept the flowers and the in-ground swimming pool maintained daily, ensuring the property looked pristine and inviting. She also provided excellent recommendations for local services like manicures and pedicures, adding a personalized touch to our trip. Keep in mind, Ursuella flips the entire house in just 4-6 hours for the next guests. To help her out, consider grabbing dinner en route to the villa on your arrival day—it worked perfectly for us after a long day of travel. The Property: The villa is beautiful, with breathtaking views that made our daily walks a pleasure. It’s the perfect spot to unwind and soak up the beauty of St. Maarten. Local Tips: Downtown is lively, but prices for taxis and vendors tend to be higher on cruise ship days. Plan accordingly to get the best value and experience. Driver Recommendation: Gizmo was our go-to driver. He not only provided transportation but also gave us great local food and activity recommendations. His city tour was absolutely phenomenal! We highly recommend this property for your next trip.

Fantastic Stay on One Friendly Island

My friends, family and I had a blast at this Jewel of a place. Ideally located with perfect views, the home provided the perfect getaway with enough room for us all to be comfortable and happy with our stay. It was only made better but the onsite staff member, Ursula, who helped to guide us with everything in the home and even made recommendations for restaurants and other things to do. We couldn't be happier with our stay - except that it was only one week long. We could have stayed forever. Thanks again for helping to make our group getaway a successful and relaxing one. Wonderful Stay!

The house is exactly as advertised. View is amazing and location is relatively centralized on the island. Ursula is absolutely fantastic! She’s an amazing cook, a wonderful host and a great asset you get when renting this home! And if need a driver while visiting, definitely recommend using Gizmo which Ginny recommends. Gizmo was reliable, friendly and just wonderful overall! Island was great and our family truly had the best time and such a memorable vacation.

10 Days in Paradise

Our group just loved everything about our stay at The Jewell. Ginny, the owner, kept in constant contact with me prior to our arrival, so there were no surprises. Once there, Ursula, the on-site host was delightful. She checked on us every day, and was there to do whatever it was we needed. She cooked us a delicious barbeque chicken and ribs dinner one night, and was also great help in assisting me prepare a taco meal on our last night there. The location is great for the beautiful beaches at Dawn Bay and Orient Bay, and it was only a short car ride into Philipsburg. I would highly recommend staying at The Jewll for anyone who simply wants to relax and enjoy a very scenic stay in Paradise.

First time to the island, and so glad we stayed at the Jewel! From the minute, you pull into the driveway you feel like you are in paradise. The house was very clean, and plenty of beds for our whole crew. Ursula is such a gift! She was so helpful, offering advice, and even cook us dinner one night!. Ginny was incredibly responsive and helpful in her advice on the island. I don’t think I would do Saint Martin again without staying here.

Exceeded Expectations

We party of 6 (seniors age 67-75) stayed here for 11 days March 2024. The views were beyond description. It was quiet. It was private. The kitchen had all required necessities (and EVERYTHING WORKED & was easy to use). The location was central and we explored and went to different beaches and beach clubs almost everyday (a few days we just stayed at the villa, used the pool and enjoyed the view. The AC in the bedrooms worked great. We used the gas BBQ. We hired a private chef one night who came in and cooked for us. It was easy to buy groceries and we cooked and ate in several nights and ate out the other nights (lots of options). The islanders were VERY friendly. The villa has an on sight, full time caretaker.....(& she's the real "jewel"). The beds were comfortable, the showers were easy to use and the water temp was easy to control. We never watched the TV, or used the stereo system. The living room furniture was plentiful and comfortable. We NEVER felt unsafe anywhere on the island (and the Villa is in a gated community to boot). If I visited Sint Maarten again I would stay at the JEWEL again. The owners communications were timely and informative. The dining room table seated 8, and there was an outdoor table too.

Fantastic vacation!

The jewel was an amazing place! There were 3 couples in our party and we stayed for 6 nights at this wonderful property. Ginny was very helpful with all of her communication. The house is equipped with everything you might need. Loved our vacation at the jewel.

Gracious Host with excellent communication

Lovely property with ocean views! The owners of the property were extremely responsive and gracious! Ursula, the onsite caretaker, was excellent! We requested that she make a dinner upon arrival as we had a long day of travel to get there and it was delicious! She offered to bake some things for us and overall went above and beyond! The owners were outstanding! We had some days of high winds, but we worked around them. Highly recommend the full day luxury catamaran snorkel trip and the ribs at Loterie Farm! Felt very welcome and at home at this property😄

Amazing Views

Our stay here was amazing. Ursula was gracious enough to cook for us and the food was amazing. Definitely recommend her for cooking if you need a chef while visiting. We were a mixed group celebrating several birthdays and the recommendations for the host and host manager was perfect! I look forard to visiting the island again and will definitely choose this property when staying on the dutchside! The views are amazing and I miss them already!

Gorgeous Ocean Views

The views from this property are absolutely stunning and the house had plenty of space for our extended family of 12 to hang out when we weren’t out exploring the island. We enjoyed the pool, the views and most of all the amazing Ursula’s meals she cooked for us on a few nights when we were gone all day on excursions. It was nice having dinner taken care of when we were all tired and didn’t feel like going out to dinner. She was great about answering any questions we had throughout our stay. Ginny had excellent communication before and during our stay (though we had issues with our phones working on the island so I didn’t get the messages from her until we were home, but we did get a few through Ursula while we were there. 😅) Our only issue (and this may just be us as we are Texans used to our A/C) is that the main part of the house got incredibly warm and a few of us got physically ill due to being hot. The bedrooms have A/C, but not the main part of the house. I think we just had bad luck with there not being much of a breeze during our stay, because we had one day that the breeze was great and the house stayed comfortable. We also got eaten alive by mosquitoes, but I think it was due to no breeze (which from what I understand is not the norm.) These things wouldn’t keep me from coming back, but I wanted to note them in case it helps others be better prepared than we were.

Wonderful property

Our family stayed a week at the Jewel. The house was exactly as advertised and we all had great time. Ursula and Gizmo are a must while staying at the property. Ursula helped us with any questions and recommendations. She also cooked for us a couple of times and it was wonderful. Gizmo, our driver for the week was very punctual and full of information. We had 3 teenage ladies with us and he meshed with them very well. Ginny was very responsive to any needs and questions. She had a very detailed tip sheet to help with all the decisions. Again, I can’t say enough about the property. We will be back!! Allen & Melissa

Spectacular Views!!

We had an amazing trip, and the views of this property are beyond spectacular!! Cliche as it may sound, but the pictures do not do it justice as actually being there. In addition to the views, the highlight was also having Ursula and Gizmo!! Can’t say enough about these two beautiful and amazing people. Ursula made the most delicious meal for us the 1st night, and checked in with us every day making sure everything was okay or if we needed anything. And Gizmo truly made our trip exceptional and memorable with his availability, timeliness, and all his recommendations, not to mention his charming personality and sense of humor!! And Ginny was wonderful, easy to communicate with, and was always quick with responding. Would definitely recommend this property!!
