The reviews are quite strong for this property, and they don't even do it justice. This place, the people, service and overall vibe is just phenomenal. Yes, the breakfast is to die for, yes, the service is top notch, but the decor, age and fact that the hotel is an old church cannot be experienced ANYWHERE else. We enjoyed relaxing massages, chilled in the pool and jacuzzi, and simply took in everything Porta di Castro had to offer. The location is prime as well. Its not on a main avenue but close enough to the action that its not a problem - in fact its preferred. We definitely were lucky in finding and choosing Porta di Castro. Thanks for the great memories, in a gem of city.
