Parking lot was poorly lit with broken glass, including homeless people rummaging through dumpsters outside hotel room window. Inside the hallways appear to have never been vacuumed with debris. Security latch for the my particular door was barely attached, multiple other doors in the hallway had evidence that someone had previously attempted to force their way into the room. Unfortunately on top of all this I left an item in the room (value ~$200) front desk claimed they had it in their hands and had it set aside. Came back to get it and it was nowhere to be found. Presumably stolen by an employee. I'd rather sleep in my car than step anywhere near this hotel again.

Despite the surprisingly decent ratings on this site, our stay at the Motel 6 in North Palm Springs was an absolute disappointment. The staff had noticeably poor attitudes from the moment we checked in, offering little more than curt responses and an overall sense that guests were an inconvenience. The facilities themselves were dingy, run down, and in serious need of attention. The smell of marijuana hung in the air outside the rooms, which did nothing to improve the already uncomfortable atmosphere. Inside, things weren’t any better. The towels provided were stained with brown patches, and the bed was one of the worst I’ve ever slept on with springs poking through the mattress and loud creaking with the slightest movement made it nearly impossible to get any rest. To make matters worse, when we looked under the bed, we found a thick layer of dust and cobwebs that made it very clear the room hadn’t been cleaned properly. The toilet barely functioned, requiring three flushes just to get anything down, and even then it felt like it might overflow. Outside, the parking lot was poorly lit and didn’t feel secure. At one point, we noticed a vagrant who appeared to be living out of his car, which only added to our discomfort. All in all, this property was a total letdown. We will not be staying here again. Save your money and go somewhere that feels cleaner, better maintained, and above all, safer.

We got there late at night, when we checked in there was a dehumidifier plugged in and on in our room. We didn't think anything of it, we went to bed and woke up at 4AM coughing up a storm. Both my husband and I kept coughing up and felt like we couldn't breathe correctly. Our chests hurt and we couldn't stay there any longer. It was the worst most uncomfortable stay I have ever had. We both still feel our chests tight and coughing up.

It’s a place to spend the night but like a lot of cheap American stays the rooms are smokey and the car parks feel a little unsafe with a lot of loitering people.
