"What a wonderful and relaxing weekend! Such a beautiful property that was so inviting, clean, comfortable, and in the perfect location. My daughter loved the comfortable swivel chairs and all the games! We enjoyed exploring the island and all the areas surrounding it. I especially loved early morning coffee on the deck and enjoying how quiet it was. Thank you for such wonderful hospitality! We will definitely be back! "

"The Hideaway was absolutely blissful. We literally spent hours sitting in comfortable chairs and enjoying the views of Widbey Island just across the straight. It was tranquil beyond belief. The accommodations itself were superb, tastefully decorated and comfortable. Communication with the owner was seamless and pleasant. We very much wish to find opportunities to stay at the hideaway in the future--the entire experience was joy incarnate :-)."

"Great house in a great location. Friendly neighborhood. In addition, the naval jet training activities were nearby and added another interesting aspect to the family vacation. We definitely enjoyed the stay and found it to he a great place. Will also mention that the fenced backyard worked perfect for our dog."

"The property was beautiful, quiet, and peaceful. We were the only people on the beach. The house was not what we expected. The kitchen was being remodeled, something that was not shared with us prior to our stay. We had planned to cook meals during our stay, however, after arriving and discovering there was no hot water at the kitchen sink and there were only minimal cooking items, we opted to eat out. The cleanliness of the place did not meet our expectations. There were stains on both comforters in both bedrooms. The beds were comfortable, but the bedding and pillow were thin and should be upgraded. The furniture was not comfortable and was on the verge of falling apart. The living area was cold. In reading reviews, it appears that there is radiant floor heating, but there was no way to turn it up or down as the dimmer switch had been removed (at least that is what appeared to be the case). The faucets in the bathrooms were loose and in desperate need of attention to operate properly. There was dirt and debris behind the doors and in the corners. The BBQ was rusty and dirty. The house has potential to be a perfect getaway. With upgrades in the furniture, bedding, and kitchen essentials, it could be a great place. Communication regarding the kitchen remodel should be included when booking the property. I, 6 days later, am still waiting for some to "reach out shortly" to address my concerns with the cleanliness of the property. A disappointing stay all in all. "

"Our stay exceeded all expectations! The home was clean, and the kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed to cook our own meals. The location couldn’t have been better, and the owner was incredibly responsive and helpful with all our requests. Bonus it’s pet friendly and has a great yard. We highly recommend staying in this lovely home."
