Nice secure place to stay for exploring Paris

We arrived during the national music festival and all of Paris was hectic. This location was a nice secure place to stay and was very comfortable. Photos represent the property perfectly. Enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay here again.

Honestly, it is hard to know what to say. We arrived at the end of the record heat wave in June, by which point the outside temperature had cooled back to near normal. We found the unit on the bottom floor, with an entrance from a small, cluttered courtyard. On entering we discovered it had no air conditioning, fans, or even windows that could open! Now, to be fair, the listing did not promise AC, and the place appeared clean and tidy, but (presumably) because of the heat of the prior week, the air inside smelled so bad we simply could not stay. After an hour, my group left and checked into a nearby hotel that was nicer, cheaper, and had great AC. I did not seek a refund or even complain to the owner. The listing may have been wildly overpriced, and the photos made it look a lot nicer than it actually was, but I cannot claim I was plainly misled. And, of course, the heat wave certainly wasn’t the owner’s fault. But to me, this really doesn’t qualify as an apartment … it’s more like a garage with a few beds and a bathroom but no ventilation. Perhaps at a lower price and under ideal weather conditions, it could be okay. And maybe I’m just fussy and spoiled as an American, used to AC everywhere I go. But as of the time I found this place, the only word I can use to describe the place when I found it would be “uninhabitable,” and in fact we left one hour into a two-day stay. Yes … it was just that bad.
