Fabulous property! Boho neighbourhood, with an authentic feel, lots of independent shops and cafes. Beautiful canal setting. Not overrun with tourists. Canât recommend it highly enough. No air conditioning and we were there during a âheat domeâ but very few properties in Paris have A.C. Segire provided lots of fans.
The large common area is spacious and lovely with a large dining table and a good kitchen. It was perfect for our large group coming to Paris for a reunion. Â We used it for a gathering spot, but only six of us were able to sleep there, which meant one person had a not very comfortable place to stay. Originally a workshop, two loft areas were built to create the maximum number of sleeping areas, but many of those areas are cramped or dark. One sleeping area has ceilings too low to stand up. There are five comfortable bedrooms.
You should also be aware that the fee rises with the number of people using the apartment, which is not made clear in the description. And that includes people visiting the apartment, not just those sleeping there. Our group was surprised by additional charges weeks after we booked for âextra guests,â meaning those who would be coming by for coffee, etc.
All in all, it was a lovely spot for our reunion, but more expensive than we expected. Worth the price perhaps if you are willing to pay a high premium for charm.
This house is huge, charming, and in a great area. It was nice not to be in a sterile modern hotel environment. Felt like we were living in traditional France. Lots of great food in the neighborhood, and very close to several metro stops. Right beside the lovely canal! The house had everything we needed and more. Lots of helpful touches from the owner.
Stay here!! It is beautiful, clean, a great location, and the owner offers superb communication! From beginning to end, our stay was wonderful. We tool the owners recommendation on a restaurant and had the best meal in Paris. There was a great pizza place near by to make for a casual night in. There were 10 of us staying here, and we all left raving about the property!! Such a great find!
This place is just amazing. It is laid out in such a beautiful way. The beds are all comfy. Plenty of room for teens and adults to have space. The neighborhood is super quiet, lots of cafes close by, grocery store is 1 min walk away. The owner was super quick getting back with any questions we had. The house cleaner came a couple of days and did our laundry for us without us even asking. If I could give this place 10 stars I would.
Perfect Paris Experience for 2 Families with 5 Teens!
A true Paris experience! We were two families with 5 teens and 4 adults, and the apartment was perfect. Metro stops are close, and the neighborhood has everything you could want or need - Market, Bakeries, Restaurants, Shopping and more. The apartment has two washer and dryers! Pack less and do a load or two during the week.
Great host, location is incredible, we made meals in and joy dining in the beautiful space!
We enjoyed neighborhood restaurants. It was a great homebase! Will stay there again!
We had a party of 8 and loved this place! Ground floor, which is wonderful for people with luggage, the home was very spacious, very comfortable and had an excellent location. Seguire was so lovely gracious, and we just had an excellent experience! HIghly recommended!
This apartment was magnificent and was a wonderful retreat to come home to after a day in Paris. We had a large group and Paris apartments don't usually come so large. There was room for everyone and the house was stocked with everything we needed. Towels and sheets were plentiful. The host was very responsive and gave us lots of recommends for bakeries, restaurants and bars. I've never stayed in the 10th before and I really like the vibe of this neighborhood. It was " off the beaten path" for Paris and we loved that. I would HIGHLY recommend this abode for large groups. Love and light filled this space!
We loved our stay in this loft! The area is fantastic! The Canal St. Martin is very trendy with lots of interesting shops and restaurants, and the canal makes you feel like you're in a relaxed setting, away from the tourist crowds.
The loft itself is comfortable and spacious, though some of the sleeping areas are cramped. It is a great area for a larger group. We were 11 and were quite comfortable! It has a real rustic charm and the courtyard setting adds to a peaceful ambiance. The amenities were good. The proprietor, Segire, could not have been nicer!
We were there the end of June and as the temps heated up, the loft did get pretty hot. That was probably the only drawback. But I would certainly recommend it!
I missed the fact you canât stand up in the loft so we had to have kids sleep there. One bedroom for adults had severe lofted ceiling so you could only stand up in half the room. No AC. No TV. I missed that too. But the apt was authentic French living. We truly got to live like the Parisian do so that was cool.
The Loft provided all that we needed for our short stay in Paris. The property is very well located for those arriving by Eurostar and has all the shops and restaurants nearby to feed us very well. But the floorboards creak very loudly which makes trips to the loo very noisy!
