Oceans at Divi Resorts – St. Maarten I stayed at Oceans at Divi Resorts – St. Maarten from January 16–19 to celebrate my friend's birthday, and unfortunately my experience was deeply disappointing and unsettling. During my stay, $500 USD was stolen from my wallet inside my hotel room. This was not money left in a public area—it was inside my room, a space that is supposed to be secure and accessible only to authorized staff and guests. This represents a serious breach of trust, safety, and security. Vacations—especially international trips—require hard work, planning, and financial sacrifice. No guest should ever have to worry about theft occurring inside their room at a resort that claims to prioritize guest comfort and safety. Beyond the financial loss, the violation and lack of security left me feeling unsafe and disappointed. This incident raises major concerns about staff access, internal controls, and accountability. A resort of this caliber should have systems in place to protect guests and their belongings at all times. I am sharing this review so future guests are aware and so management understands how unacceptable this experience was. I hope this issue is taken seriously and corrective action is implemented immediately. Guest safety should never be optional.

A lovely visit! The resort is very well kept and our room was nice and clean - no frills but beautiful view. The pools are fantastic and the beach is amazing. Staff is very nice and friendly. We absolutely loved Caron at the breakfast buffet. The hospitality overall was good.

Stayed at the Oceans property, which is central to all the restaurants except Sea Breeze. The property is not very large but location is amazing. The views are breathtaking and is close to Phillipsburg. We had a double bed room and some things I didn't like were the washroom could use a bit of renovations like re grouting, other than that the room is essentially just to sleep and change clothes. We are at all the restaurants except the Mix and Fort Amsterdam and food was great (we did the all inclusive). Staff are very polite and courteous. The beach and pool are fantastic. The sunsets on the beach are beautiful! This resort tends to get very quiet after 1030 pm, so don't expect late night parties or music late into the night.

All staff were kind and friendly. Housekeeping was average at best. In 8 days she only left fresh wash cloths once. I had to call downstairs and a bellman would bring them in the evening. Also if we happen to pass her in the hall she’d ask do we want our room mopped- if we didn’t see her it didn’t get mopped😒 We had AC issues and were temporarily moved to another unit. We never received confirmation the AC in our unit had been repaired. We had to continuously check on progress ourself while on vacation. The pools are beautiful however they need a good cleaning! There is mildew buildup around the top of tiles and many tiles are missing. This resort could be amazing - so much potential! The beach towel system is such an inconvenience- there are better ways. Having the option for room service (especially in the evening) would be a huge perk.

The pool and easy access to the beach at this location are wonderful. The drivers and staff are also wonderful. The hotel accommodations, however, need major improvements. So much in my room did not work that I had to be moved. It was clear that they already knew about these problems--no functioning TV, phone, AC, etc. While they are nice people, check-in takes entirely too long--upward of 30 mins of waiting because too few work the front desk--which is annoying after a long travel day. In all, this place was overpriced for what it delivers. I won't stay here again.

This was our second stay and it didn’t disappoint. We were sad that Seabreeze restaurant and pool were shut as we liked that area but there was a new a la carte in the buffet . The food was good and the resort was clean . My only criticism would be the staff as the majority weren’t particularly friendly.
