Avis VILLA PIANA

This was the 4th rental for our grand tour of Italy and easily our favorite. Time stands still at this 14th century villa and the view is nothing short of storybook. Riccardo, the property owner, met us for both check in and check out and explained the basics of the home. It is close to many sights, including local medieval towns of Montepulciano, Monticchiello, and Pienza. We also took a short drive to Bagni San Filippo to enjoy the local hot springs. The house and view of Val d'Orcia is just magical. Our kids enjoyed the pool and sunset over Pienza. There are several cats that roam the property and our kids had fun naming each of them. I was worried about the lack of A/C, but the ancient stone walls and fans keep the home quite comfortable and we also opened windows to enjoy the breeze. There are olive trees on the property and rosemary the size of bushes, along with the iconic cypress trees. I took an unbelievable amount of photos that i will cherish always. Thank you, Riccardo! Could not have had a more gorgeous view. Truly magical

Spent a week in this stunning villa in an absolutely beautiful area of Tuscany - with views straight out of guidebooks - and couldn’t have wished for a more relaxing week. Monticchiello is ten minutes walk away and has some fabulous restaurants - with obligatory views. The villa was very well appointed - lots of room, well equipped, lovely pool, and beautifully furnished. I’d go back in a heartbeat!!
