Spacious house
Publié le 10 juill. 2023 sur HomeAwayThe house was a great size for our group of 7. Everyone had their own space. The ad mentions lake access, but the house is so far from the lake that it's not an easy walk. We had to drive back and forth to access the community pool and playground. Unfortunately (not fault of owners) the lake was full of blue-green algae and we couldn't play in the water. We were thankful there was a community pool option.
The dining table space was on the back deck. The entire time we were there, there was such a sewage smell that it was hard to sit outside or open up windows. The entire community is fit around a golf course, so if you don't golf, it is less exciting. I was hoping for more of a waterfront cabin, but you can't even see the lake from the house. The access and location were not very clear pre-arrival. There is no way i would have found my way up a meandering hill of properties to this house if i hadn't phoned. I feel more direction could have been given in advance.

Hi Christine, we’re so glad you enjoyed the view, but we’re sorry other aspects fell short of expectations. After sending your feedback to the owner, they’d like to share the following:
- We have never encountered issues with unpleasant odors, and our cleaning team did not report anything unusual during their pre-stay cleaning. It's worth noting that the cabin's proximity to a golf course may expose it to water or pesticides, which could potentially contribute to the smell. Regrettably, this aspect is beyond our control
- We've thoroughly reviewed the listing content, and it accurately states that the property offers lake access. However, it's important to clarify that the property is not situated directly on the lakefront
- As the property is situated within a gated community, each guest will need to call for initial gate access upon arrival. Once checked in, guests will be provided with a fob, allowing convenient entry and exit through the gate during their stay. Upon check-in at the gate, the attendant will provide driving directions to the cabin

Beautiful Cabin
Publié le 1 déc. 2022 sur HomeAwayProperty was great overall. Slept 7 very comfortably, kitchen had all the essentials and the pool table was a really great touch.
Make sure you meet the property manager to enter the resort. In winter it is a long walk from the gate to get the gate opener from the cabin. The front steps were super icy and there was no salt or shovel. The loft is great space but we could not watch dvds as there was no charger for the PS3 controllers. There is no kitchen table but there is an eating bar for 4.
Overall great place and our issues were more inconveniences than concerns.

We really enjoyed our stay there. Cabin is everything it says it will be. Would recommend staying there.
One thing of caution - the write up says it is open till Canadian thanksgiving. We were there the beginning of October and the golfing, restaurant and pool were closed. We were told by a local resident when we got there that it generally closes end of September. We went there intending to golf (weather permitting) and eat at the restaurant and had to make other arrangements.
We are definitely hoping to come back some time to get the whole experience.

Very nice place, right on the golf course, excellent communication with Brenda, she responded very quickly when we had any questions. We would stay again!
There was a few things we were not crazy about. First were the carpets desperately need a good cleaning, no light near the tub/shower in the master, it was very dark to bathe or shower in the evening and finally the noise of the lawn mowers and weed whippers at 7:30 am, no sleeping in here.

Great golf getaway
