Built in 2011, completely refurnished and refreshed in 2022. This house is great for a large family or for two small families

Sleeps up to 10 in 2 queen beds, 2 twin bunk beds (4 twin beds total) and 1 queen air mattress. The air mattress is best for kids

OUTDOOR LIVING: Large furnished covered deck with deck chairs and beach views. Downstairs has a large Tiki Bar with outdoor seating and a deck swing. The backyard has a fire pit with seating and gorgeous decorative lighting

INDOOR LIVING: 4 flat-screen Smart TVs, open layout, beautiful furnishings

KITCHEN: Large kitchen with a twelve-place bar and table seating, plastic cups and bowls for the kids, crock pot, blender, toaster, basic spices, cooking basics, ice maker, dishware, flatware, margarita glasses and wine glasses.

Includes a fully stocked coffee bar with a combo K-cup & drip coffee maker, a french press and pour-over coffee along with an assortment of fresh coffee beans, k-cups and tea

LINENS AND LAUNDRY: 1 bath towel per guest; all linens for all beds: sheets, pillows, comforters etc; kitchen towels, hand towels, washcloths, makeup cloths, 8 beach towels

An unforgettable beach getaway!

Our stay at this beach house was nothing short of amazing! From the moment we walked in, we were blown away by how spacious and beautifully maintained the home was. It had absolutely everything we could possibly need, it was like the hosts thought of everything before we even had a chance to!And talk about location! Just a couple minutes walk and our toes were in the sand! It was the perfect setup for beach days with the family, and we made memories that will last a lifetime.The amenities? Endless. From fully stocked kitchenware to beach gear, games, comfy beds, and cozy spots to unwind—it was like staying in our dream beach home. The kids had a blast, and the adults had their relaxing moments too (which says a lot!).A special shout-out to our hosts who were absolutely AMAZING—friendly, responsive, and checked in during our stay just to make sure we were doing great and didn’t need a thing. Their hospitality made everything feel so welcoming and easy.We’re already talking about booking our next stay. If you’re looking for a beach getaway that feels like home (but better!), this is the place.

Fantastic family (including the pups) getaway

We had a fantastic summer getaway at The Runaway! The house was exactly as advertised and in a wonderful quiet neighborhood! We experienced a day of rain but didn’t mind it at all with the game room and all the amenities that kept us busy! We would definitely stay here again!

Perfect Cabin

Cabin was very clean and was exactly like the listing. Lots of fun activities and had everything we needed. Everyone enjoyed themselves and we will definitely be back. Dave and Emily are great host and kept in contact throughout the whole process. I highly recommend their cabin for a nice family getaway.

Great House Horrible Couch

This is a great house to say at. So many extras with the hot tub, ping pong table, fooseball table, ect. The beds were really comfortable and clean. The only problem there was nowhere to sit comfortably inside the house. First off the rental listing shows a comfortable sectional couch with two chassis lounges and a counter height table with cushioned chairs. But they have been changed with a with lower table with metal chairs. This is not so much an issue, the table is cute and a better fit for the house than what originally showed in the listing. But the new couch is horrible. The cushions are thin and the base is metal bars. After about five minutes of sitting, you can feel every bar. Even my wife and kids complained about how uncomfortable it was. While we really enjoyed the house, the amenities, and the location we would not have booked this house had we seen the actual furniture we would be arriving too.

Birthday at the Beach

This was the perfect surprise get away for my husbands birthday. Our two kids and our family friends and their 3 kids all stayed so comfortably in this space. If you’re staying over new years the fireworks on the beach was so fun to watch and the view from the house deck is perfect. Hosts were friendly and considerate and did everything to accommodate us to make sure we had the perfect time. The beach was such a short walk away! Highly recommend a stay here!!

Quick getaway

This rental was exactly what we expected. The host was quick to respond to any questions we had. The location was great for families as well. Super close to the beach and a quiet part of the beach as well. All the games downstairs was an added plus for the kids.

Family, Fun, Fourth of July!!!!

The decision to stay at the beach for the Fourth of July was spur of the moment and this cabin stood out! We had plenty of room to sleep and hang out! The hot tub was a huge hit with the family, and the distance from the beach was perfect! It was clean, communciation before during and after the stay was great! Overall it allowed our family to create wonderful memories this 4th! Thank you! Would definitely rent again!

Clean Place

Overall the cabin was very clean and the master bathroom is huge and awesome rain shower head with great water pressure. The cabin itself was fine. The location is on a busy street with public beach access so there were constantly big trucks speeding down that road. The grass in the fenced in yard had not been cut in weeks and was too high and full of stickers so every time my dogs went outside they were covered in them. The portable hot tub was nice but takes an entire day to heat up and if you are only staying 2 nights you basically can only use it for 1. Aside from those things the cabin is well decorated , clean and nice and close to the beach. If you want to be in the action then this is the place but if you are looking for a relaxing weekend this is not the area. I prefer something with private access to the beach which would cut down on the traffic on that street. The location is close to restaurants , stores , etc. The cabin is very nice and clean and is a nice place but we happened to be there on prom weekend so there were parties all night long going on everywhere in that neighborhood and constant trucks speeding up and down the road at all hours. The host is nice and somewhat responsive. I like the cabin just not the location and was disappointed that I brought my pet and the weeds were a foot tall compared to the cabins on either side of me

Our New Favorite Crystal Beach House

5 STARS!!!! Inwould give 10 if I could. My family and I recently stayed here for a long weekend to celebrate my birthday. Everyone had an awesome time!! First off, the place was very clean and the location was perfect. I am talking a 2 minute walk to the beach. You have a great view of the water and you can hear the waves at night, that's how close we are talking. The description was completely accurate. The kids loved the game room. My wife and I enjoyed the hot tub. Our dog loved having a fenced in grass yard to run around in. The check in and out process was very simple and easy. They literally have everything you need. We had no issues and the communication from David was quick during the check in and out process. We have been down to Crystal Beach about 6x now since we moved to TX 3 years ago. And this will now be our spot. We had plenty of room for the four of us and the pup. You could have plenty of room even with another family of four. It was a great trip. I highly recommend!

The location and beach house was nice but it came with some uninvited guest. We had several encounters with cockroachs even after we sprayed the whole house with bug spray. On day four we decided to cut the trip short, messaged the host(no response), packed our bags, cleaned up and left. We still haven't heard from the host to at least refund our security deposit and texted and called the same number I used before our stay. We're currently waiting on a response from Dave and our security deposit.
