West 2nd Retreat is a modern ranch home built in 2023, offering the comfort of new construction in the heart of Port Clinton — one of Ohio's premier Lake Erie destinations. Clean finishes, new appliances, and a single-level layout make this an easy, comfortable stay for families, couples, and small groups.

The home sleeps 6 guests across three bedrooms and is well-suited for a mix of guest types: couples who want a private king suite, families who need flexible sleeping arrangements, and groups heading out for a day at Cedar Point or a morning on the water.

Sleeping Arrangements:

Bedroom 1: King bed with private ensuite bath — double vanities, walk-in shower, and spacious closet
Bedroom 2: Queen bed
Bedroom 3: Full bed plus a full-sized trundle bed — two complete sleeping surfaces in one room

Second bathroom: Full bath with tub/shower combo, shared by bedrooms 2 and 3

Inside the Home

The open-concept living and dining area flows from the large sectional and Smart TV into the fully equipped kitchen. New appliances throughout include an electric range, dishwasher, full-size refrigerator, and both a Keurig and drip coffee maker. Cookware, dishes, and utensils are all provided. The dining table seats four. A separate laundry room with washer and dryer is available for guest use. Central air conditioning keeps the home comfortable during summer stays.

Outdoor Space

The covered concrete front porch is the grilling spot — a propane grill is provided. We recommend checking the tank level when you arrive. If it runs low during your stay, exchange it at any nearby convenience or hardware store. The backyard features a fire pit with seating for six — a natural gathering point for evenings after a day at the park or on the water. The stone driveway fits 2 to 3 vehicles plus a boat or trailer. There is no garage. The home has a few entry steps at the front entrance. Once inside, everything is on one level.

Location

West 2nd Retreat puts guests within minutes of Port Clinton's best. Lakeview Park Beach is about 5 minutes away — close enough for a morning swim or a sunset walk. The Jet Express ferry to Put-in-Bay and the Lake Erie Islands departs from Port Clinton, also about 5 minutes from the home. A public boat launch is less than 5 minutes away. Cedar Point Amusement Park is approximately 20 miles away, about a 30-minute drive — an easy day trip that many guests build their stay around. Downtown Port Clinton restaurants, shops, Gideon Owen Winery, and Twin Oast Brewing are all within a short drive.

Things to Know

The home sits near active train tracks. Passing trains can occasionally be heard, particularly at night — light sleepers may want to bring earplugs. The property is adjacent to a cemetery on one side, which in practice means no neighbors on that side and a quieter backyard. An exterior doorbell camera is located at the front entrance facing the driveway. No pets and no parties. Quiet hours are 10 p.m. to 8 a.m. A starter supply of toiletries, paper towels, and trash bags is provided. A personal vehicle is recommended — rideshare availability in the area is limited.
