First and foremost, what stood out the most during our stay was the incredible customer service and care. From the moment we arrived, every single staff member we interacted with from the managers and front desk team to the restaurant staff on the patio and in the lounge, was absolutely outstanding. They were consistently warm, helpful, and went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. While we did encounter a few hiccups at check-in and with our initial room, the staff handled everything with such professionalism and genuine care. They worked hard to make things right, and in the end we were very happy with the rooms we stayed in. Beyond that, the overall atmosphere of the hotel was lovely, and our experience across the property was truly great. The combination of excellent service and thoughtful attention to detail left us with a very positive impression of our stay in Porto. I wish I could remember all of their names but I lost my note card during the travels home so I apologize.

My husband and I loved the location, the breakfast room and the adjacent cafe at the Pestana Porta. The vibe was warm and welcoming, personal shoutouts to Henrique, Joana and Arthur, the staff makes all the difference!

Excellent location for walking and travel to most areas and sites of interest. Personable and professional staff. Some items missing in room from our perspective were: wash cloths; hair conditioner; a cork screw/wine opener; and wine glasses. Would certainly recommend this Hotel!

It is definitely not a 5* hotel. It doesn’t offer a variety of services that such a hotel should offer. You are getting only 2 thin low quality towels for a day, and the robes are not better quality either. No one will bring you fresh towels in the afternoon as there is no turn down service. Your bathroom toiletries won’t be replenished for the whole duration of your stay. There is no minibar. The hotel cuts corners everywhere, even jeopardizing hygiene. There are no plastic bags in garbage bins, not even for the bin in the bathroom. You are not getting a full box of paper tissues, but a few pieces. The breakfast room resembles a bistro without tablecloths where you have to catch a waiter to get more coffee. The breakfast is not a match for other 5* hotels. The superior room with a “grand view” that I booked, looks nothing like it does in the photos. It’s a tiny room with no extra seating area, no bathtub, and no floor to ceiling unobstructed view. The “grand view” is partially blocked by a solid balcony wall. Also, there is a very unpleasant smell of sewage near the hotel that is noticeable on the first floor and in the breakfast area. If you are used to 5* hotels, you may wish to look somewhere else.
