Good place in center of the city. My bathroom had issues of hiding sound because of water leak that they couldn't fix. It kept me up most of the nights. They talk about being environmentally friendly. I put the towels on the rod and they still replaced them. Looks like house keeping does not believe in the same principles.

Our stay at pestana porto was a dream. Large charming and clean rooms, friendly staff, amazing service, excellent breakfast and fantastic location. We'd like to thank Alex specifically for the champagne surprise for our anniversary, his fantastic service, and great recommendation for a Douro Valley wine tour. The rooms were a bit small even though we had a suite and ours smelled like smoke. The bathroom also had a lot of mildew in the shower. It was kind of gross. The location is great and the breakfast was high quality.

The property was very well located for sight seeing. I did have an issue with the design of the bathroom sinks, in that they wouldn't hold water. The staff fixed it appropriately. The room was quiet and I was able to manage the temperature easily.
