Rooms have one source of heat for the whole building. It was oppressive. We had to sleep with the window wide open. No screen. Beds are dated. Room walls are paper thin. Guests were loud and up until almost 2am. One of the worst stays we have had in a long time. Will not stay here again.
Could not find check in. An email or text ahead of time should have been sent. The breakfast was running out by 9 am. Left with black bananas no butter or jelly no salt almost gone. Picture made you believe you were staying in the Victorian house: deceptive
Room was great. Breakfast less than average - no eggs or hot cereal. Just bagels coffee and milk pastries. Took a while to figure out that you need to go to the sister hotel for check in but other than that I enjoyed my stay and will return.
Location awesome but a bit pricey . Parking great,
Narrow stairwell difficult to schlep luggage up and down stairs. I should have asked since previous visit was to a unit on ground level and when I checked in was too exhausted to d o anything except climb upstairs.
It was close to everything and basically I was able to park the car and forget about it as I ended up walking everywhere about the village.

Beautiful historic property. Our room was a little disappointing in that the bathroom needs to be updated to include double sinks, makeup mirror and better quality towels. There was not a guard rail in the tub/shower. We had to ask for luggage racks since there ws nowhere to put our luggage except on the floor. We enjoyed one dinner here but were disappointed in the food and especially the service. Rhinebeck is full of excellant restaurants so we were disappointed in the hotel restaurant. The entire property, although beautiful is in need of some "deferred maintenance."
Charming historic hotel and inn in beautiful Hudson River Valley! Rooms are comfy, The Tavern where George Washington was known to frequent is awesome! Staff were absolutely fantastic and Nansi at the Front Desk, went out of her way to accommodate us when an emergency happened. Great place to explore!
