Luxurious Beach Condo - 25 feet from beach

Villa Mare is an exclusive residential complex, located in front of one of the nicest beaches on the eastern coast, El Cortecito, Bavaro. It is a private project with 14 luxury apartments and with first class finishing.
Its design is a mixture of Mediterranean and Victorian Style, made up of two buildings, which are harmoniously located. The complex has lush landscaping. It is gated. There is an outdoor pool; there is a gazebo with table & chairs. The project has common gas facilities. The condo has central air conditioning, along with air conditioners in each bedroom. There is 24-hour security and easy access to the beach -- 25 feet away. We have free wifi. Beach chairs are provided.
Our condo is a beautiful, well cared for beach condo with everything you need for a comfortable stay. The spacious interior is tastefully furnished. Kitchen is fully equipped, with all cooking utensils, dishes, gadgets, toaster, coffee maker, blender, teapot, hand mixer, juicer, spices, refrigerator, gas stove with oven, water cooler for bottled water, microwave, iron & ironing board. Dining table seats 6. Living room has 2 comfortable adjustable lounge chairs & sofa. You will find comfortable beds with deluxe queen-size mattress in one bedroom; twin beds with deluxe mattresses in second bedroom and ample closet space with built-in shelving. Large terrace to relax on, with 3 lighted ceiling fans, roll-down wind and sun blinds for privacy, and cushioned rattan furniture and reclining lounge chairs for comfort. Across from magnificent Los Corales/El Cortecito beach with thousands of swaying palms. Short walk to a supermarket -- Ciccolella, Dalia Bakery with coffee shop, beauty salon, liquor shop, pharmacy, restaurants and public transportation. 10 minutes from Centro Medico Hospital Punta Cana and Hospiten Bavaro Hospital. San Juan Shopping Center has two large Supermarkets - Jumbo and Pola, Pizza Hut, Burger King, and an ice cream shop, among other businesses and restaurants. A short distance away is the Palma Real Shopping Center with Moviemax theatre, restaurants, banking and boutique shops. The golf courses are Barcelo Bavaro, Cocotal Golf, White Sands Golf, La Cana, Punta Espada & Punta Blanca, Teeth of the Dog, Dye Fore Golf Course and The Links at Casa de Campo. Two gyms are nearby. Also nearby are bus, motor scooter and taxi service.

Things to be aware of
We rented this unit for 5 weeks this March 2020. When we arrived the unit was clean and everything seemed in order. Immediately we noticed cockroaches. We informed Laurina and her response was “ you can buy spray at the corner store, unfortunately pests are a part of tropical life. So WE purchased spray and over the next week dispatched a minimum of 20 adult roaches. It was always a question of what you might see when the lights were turned on at nite. The water is terrible. I would not wash my clothes in it because of the residual smell. Washing clothes was done in the kitchen sink with cold water and bleach to alleviate the odour. The screens in both bathrooms and sliding doors do not fit properly so there is always a mosquito problem in the unit. You can solve this problem by using the AC constantly. This unit receives no direct sunlight and is very dark . The unit is tired and at the tail of rental use before some much needed upgrades are necessary. The grounds are well kept and very pretty except for the pool. There are new glass tiles at the bottom of the pool daily. These tiles are falling of the sides because of the age of the pool. All 5 reclining chairs around the pool are cracked and broken and unusable. It is also important to note that this property is not beachfront, but across the street from a public beach. The beach is wonderful, you can walk or people watch all day. Restaurants and grocery stores are close and very well stocked. This letter is based on this unit only, the remainder of the complex was clean and very nice

Lovely condo and a great beach
We very much enjoyed our stay. The condo was beautifully equipped, well maintained, and suited us well. My only caveat would be the level of noise, particularly the loud music from the beach, but that wasn’t the fault of the condo management. We found the management to be helpful and responsive, doing their very best to give us all the amenities of home. The beach is busy and beautiful. Many thanks to Laurina, Ilian, and Wendy for all their help.

Great stay
Loved the location, extremely close to the beach and close to shopping and restaurants. Laurina, is great to work with and any issues are addressed quickly. The condo has everything you would need for a short or long stay. The grounds are beautiful and the staff there (Wendy) is very helpful and nice. This was our third winter in the DR and I'd have to say this stay was the best.

Very Comfortable, Great Location!
My wife and I stayed at this condo recently (mid-January) and thoroughly enjoyed it. The owner (Laurina) went above and beyond to make sure we had all the information and help we needed to ensure the stay was enjoyable. The place is just as advertised. It is very comfortable, clean and well stocked. It is just a few steps to a nice, sandy beach that goes on for miles. When heading to the beach for a walk, you can take your pick on going to the left or right and then be able to walk for miles along the shore. It is great because either way you go it is a most enjoyable walk and there are shops, restaurants and bars each way if you care to take a break and enjoy some food and drink along with an ocean view. A few minutes (or more) at the pool is also enjoyable in that it is clean, comfortable and away from the busy beach scene. It is also very enjoyable to talk with the other folks staying at the complex to share stories and points of interest, including recommended restaurants. Many are down there for extended stays and can provide some insight into life in the DR. Bars and restaurants are in easy walking distance, and cabs are readily available if needed. We would certainly go back again. Many thanks Laurina for sharing your place with us!

Beautiful, quiet & safe two bedroom, two bath condo
We had a wonderful time staying at the condo, the grounds keeper Wendy was very helpful with questions and would bring us water when we needed it. The daytime guard was wonderful, would watch the place very closely and would sing while touring the grounds. The public beach is conveniently located right across the street and a large variety of restaurants & convenience stores are all within walking distance. We would definitely recommend this place to anyone who asked.

Home away from Home
Great Condo! Nice smaller complex, quiet setting compared to a large resort. We enjoyed our two week stay @ Laurina's condo, 4 adults. Great location, right across the street is the beach & there are two small markets within walking distance to get all your groceries that you need. If you want to go to the two larger malls & grocery stores it is very easy to hop on the bus & go whenever you want for 30 pesco's, all kinds of restaurants also within walking distance, no need for a car. Anna was waiting for us when we arrived to let us into the Condo & give us a detailed tour, we contacted Anna with some questions & she replied right away, great to know she is there to help out if you need anything. Appreciated Laurina's immediate response to our questions. Wendy, the maintenance man, and the guard at the gate (can't remember his name) were there around the clock to meet us every time we went in & out of our complex, felt very safe. The Condo has all the supplies that you need, felt like home. The Grill or BBQ was a nice addition to the property, we used it just about every night. The pool was not working when we arrived but after a few days they had it repaired & we used it every day, nice to sit around & visit with the other guests at the complex. The Beach is great & right across the street, easy access, loved it. The condo does feel alittle dark, but that is due to the heavy curtains in the living room, would suggest they be updated along with the sofa in the living room. This place has a huge terrace which we used all the time, would be nice to have a small outdoor table & chairs out there so you could eat outside, & would be nice to have beach chairs. Would definitely recommend this condo & if we return to the Dominican would stay here again. Thanks for everything
