Last Minute cancelation of the property due to double booking!
Publié le 15 août 2023 sur HomeAwayThe last minute cancellation by VRBO has been quite a frustrating experience. On July 17th, 2023, our group of 4 adults over the age of 60 drove from Toronto to Quebec City for 9 hours. I had been in touch with the owner throughout the day, and had let them know that our expected arrival time was at 11:00PM. When we were about 30 minutes away from the property, I was texted by the owner that the reservation had been cancelled at 10:30 PM, on the day of the reservation. Despite having communicated with him twice that day, he had failed to inform me of this cancellation, even though he later let me know he had known about the double booking since 7:00AM on the same day. Thus, late that night, our group had to text and call both the owner and VRBO repeatedly to deal with this issue while parked on a lonely road side, as we no longer had a place to safely stay that very night. This is very clearly a case of GROSS NEGLIGENCE. Had we been told on the morning of our cancellation, we would not have started from Toronto until we had alternative accommodations finalized, for our safety.
We have had to make numerous calls with VRBO and the owner to resolve this issue. We could not check into a hotel that night until 1:00 AM - what a horrible experience of vacation! Is it VRBO or the property owner at fault; not being clarified?

We sincerely apologize for the very unfortunate inconvenience this has caused you. However, it is important for you to know that this was a technological error where the software authorized 2 reservations on the same dates and we only noticed the problem on the day itself. These technological errors are very rare. We advised VRBO of the situation as soon as we discovered the problem, so that they could offer travellers other alternatives.

Amazing Stay in 😍 Gorgeous Quebec!
Publié le 9 juill. 2023 sur HomeAwayWe are a family of four, with a tween and teen. This home had it all! My kids did NOT want to leave. If we had the time, we would have extended our trip. You could literally eat off of the floors! Everything looked brand new and the grounds were fun for the kids to bike around in, or enjoy the pool.the beds were very cozy after a day exploring. Don't forget the private hot tub, that the littles enjoyed as much as the adults. On the grounds, there is a short, very pleasant hike to the river. The location is great- far enough from the hustle of the city, but close enough to enjoy the "cradle" of French America💃. There were so many wonderful sites to see, Montmercy Falls is a must (100ft higher than Niagra- there is a footbridge and zipline across the waterfall. It is easy to bike throughout Quebec city, just reserve a parking spot if you can in the busy months, as we spent a while looking for spot to park. The IGA is only a short drive away and has everything
you need. Despite being primarily English speaking, nearly everyone spoke some English anywhere we went. Also, Google translator was our friend in the remote parts, such as the Ile d'Orleans, which is also a must! Quai D' Saint Jean beach on the island was a fun beach and has dark sand and rock formations to climb and swimming is possible but use water shoes. I can literally go on and on. Yannick was thee best host and promptly answered all of our questions. Thanks Yannick and a bientot,Quebec!

Best resort in quebec

The house was very clean and spotless it had a brand new smell which we all loved. Especially when you have a private Spa in the backyard that was the coolest part. The house comes fully equiped with anything you can think of and need. There was nothing we needed to contact Yannick everything we needed was there. I would recommend this house and place to anyone that wants to relax with their family and friends. I Can't wait to book another trip again. 5STAR AND UP.
