Very disappointed not up to Holiday in standards

What can I say nothing but a disappointment first room Stains all over the widow was broken no safe no fridge Second room looked to be nice but no fan working in the bathroom so every time you showerd it’s steamed up so I could not get ready for like a hour after as it was full of steam and black mold as you can you see No hot water the first two days as there was a gass leak also partial breakfast because no gas no steam or hot tub we went to order fish and chips after 50 minutes the waiter cones and said they were sold out we had no choice but to stay in that room as they were completely sold out of rooms for most of our stay Elevator was broken the first day as well yes I got a credit for the first nights stay we were there for suppose to be 8 nights we finally had enough of the stink of mold and checked out a day early they did credit me that back but do they should as we never stayed there that last night I do not recommend this hotel the only good thing was the house keepers they were very sweet and helpful also for 4 days they ran out of Yogurt only option was soybean yougurt but other then that the buffet was good for breakfast I’m not happy as we usually always stay in holiday inns not any more very disappointed they need to upgrade that hotel it is not a 4 star at all it’s dirty and moldy

The hotel was great. The swimming pool and Sauna were also great and clean. Staff were very helpful and friendly. However, I had consistent issues with the key cards, which kept disabling my room key. There was a clock change on day 2 of 5, and the problem was still there. I had to go back downstairs every day to reconfigure my keys. This was frustrating, and I made this known to the hotel staff.

Breakfast was a disappointment. No hash browns, no mushrooms, no baked beans. Explanation given was attributed to delays in the kitchen. Bread was from the previous day. After a request fresh bread was made available. Yoghurts not available. very few pastries -probably from there day before. having intended to make an early start to our day with a good breakfast, this was not possible.

We were allocated a room for a disabled person even though neither of us are disabled or had requested it. However we did appreciate the wet room rather than a bath with shower over. But, and a big but for any traveller, there was nowhere in the bathroom to place toiletries, razors, toothbrushes, deodorant, hairbrushes etc etc. All the things that are needed within reach of the sink. We ended up dragging the chair in the shower to the sink in order to have our toilet bags close without them being placed on the floor. A normal bathroom has a counter either side of the sink. Has no-one ever thought about where a disabled person would put their toiletries. If on the floor they would be out of reach for a wheelchair user. It would be nice if the manager could address this problem and write to me to explain their reasoning for this error. Otherwise the bed was comfy and other services satisfactory.

This is our go to hotel when we want to break up any journeys to the north of England or Scotland. The staff are friendly, it's convenient for the M1, and it has great facilities. It also features a good breakfast buffet.
