The front ocean view was great. The apartment is not for handicap. Does not even have safety bars nor the required spacing to go within rooms in the apartment. Kitchen drawers, forks, spoons, knifes and other items in all drawers were not clean
 we had problems with water heater. Braker kept turning off.

Nice place, but couldn’t relax

This was a nice place but there was renovating going on in the apartment directly next to us. Hammering and sawing started every day between 8/9am making it impossible to relax. I suggest any future renters confirm with the manager there will be no similar renovations during their stay
.that is if they answer you. I reached out to the manager asking if they would consider a partial reimbursement but got nothing but crickets.

The location and view from the unit was great. The bed was comfortable. The facilities were good. The beach equipment was helpful. The only issue was the hot water in the shower tripping the circuit breaker several times. For the price we couldn’t beat it and we would return.

Playa AZUL!!!

We had a wonderful stay at this Playa Azul property the first week of December. (Wed-Sunday). We had visited the San Juan area before and were looking for something on the east coast; this fit our needs perfectly. The building is used to having renters and it is all very well organized. The view is spectacular, and the balcony area was great for sitting in the morning or evening. The unit was very clean, bed was comfortable, and the water pressure in the shower was great. The kitchen was basic, but fine for cooking breakfast, which is what we mainly used it for. Right across the street is an Amigos grocery store. The size of the living area is spacious and was just fine for two people. We had no issues with the air conditioning. The owner provides beach equipment and the beautiful beaches are walkable or a very short drive. Also just a 15 minute drive to Fajardo, where the boating excursions (Tobias) leave from; El Yunque (H&J) is also nearby as well. Also some good local eateries in the area. The building is in need of some renovations, comments about the elevators are accurate. However security was always very helpful in letting us know the status of the elevators. Regarding the comment about the stray cat, we only saw a couple outside the building - you will see many stray gatos and perros throughout Puerto Rico, so this should not be a surprise. I would highly recommend this property for exploring the eastern part of Puerto Rico. We look forward to visiting again!

Beautiful condo on the inside beautiful view

Building is a little sketchy at first it is a little on the older side and the patio door was broken so it did not lock which made me a little nervous at first but unit is on 17th floor, so after a day i kind of got use to my surroundings so it wasn’t a deal breaker for me. The unit was nice and clean, however it could have had more amenities like some coffee or cooking utensils, there was a bar of soap, shampoo (no conditioner), laundry soap was provided there was only 1 dryer sheet though, but again not a deal breaker once you consider location and price and all the pros. All in all not a bad stay at all, this part of the island is soooo beautiful and the view is to die for!!!

Stayed 3 days- Stupid to complain to an uncaring landlord but YOU SHOULD KNOW THE TRUTH!

The Location:Property located in secure high rise w/ security. Lots of local restaurants and bars close by which were wonderful. Lots of amenities including pool- tennis courts- basketball courts- handball court and beach access. View from 17th floor spectacular view of playa azul-location is convenient to kiosks- beaches- fajardo and El Yunque. Property manager prompt & easy to get ahold of- talk to. The Unit: Way dated. Cheap outdated furniture, hard bed with 3 ft long pillows. Sheets were stained and rms were dirty and dusty. Items stored in kitchen cabinets that belonged to someone else. Stick of old butter in fridge. I only stayed thurs-fri and Sat morning. The shelves in fridge were completely rusted out. Could not even keep food in it. Moldy shower curtain in bathroom. Remote for living rm TV did not work. Took aprox 10 hrs for the ac to actually cool the unit. Hallways smelled of trash as trash kept and disposed of just up the hall. Window in bedroom nearly impossible to open. Honestly, Stray Cats in entry lobby and at other entrances to building. Hallways not taken care of with peeling paint and even some broken windows 17 stories up. Elevator looks like it its about to fall apart and literally looks like your standing on plywood. Owner of building just does not care and it shows. I own my own contracting business and my wife is a pastor- so when I talk about problems with a property- I am honest and know what I’m talking about. Not worth the money- feel ripped off.

Paradise Beach Condo

We absolutely loved this place, it was exactly what we needed for 2 adults and 2 teenagers. The pool was absolutely amazing and the building is so close to things that we needed in walking distance such as multiple food options, a small convenience store right across the street and ample parking. The only thing not so great I can say is the building was getting work done in the elevators so only one was working and they didn’t finish peeling the plastic off of the outside of the elevator and it started peeling off and made it look awful on the outside which is not the owners fault but the building should’ve made sure they removed it because it just looked bad. Other than that perfect stay and very close to the marina as we went to Culebra for a day. I will definitely be back.

Home away from home.

The apartment is clean and beautiful. The recreation area and beach access were fantastic. It would be nice if the pool stayed open a little later than 7pm. The only glitch in our stay was the elevators. They are under repair and not always working. Other than that, everything was wonderful.

Perfect!

This property was so great for my family!! The beds were comfortable, the kitchen was well stocked and the view was amazing. We used the pool and beach access every day. Susana was such a great host. She checked in to make sure everything was running smoothly and even dropped off some beach items to the apartment for my kids to use. Everyone we interacted with (tourists and locals) was so kind. We would absolutely stay here again. The only problem was the hot water went out, but it is a 2 second fix, so it didn’t negatively impact our trip.

We had a wonderful 10 day stay in Luquillo. The condo is ideally located. It’s in close proximity to beaches, El Yunque, and the wonderful little town of Luquillo. Additionally, the host, Susana, was very responsive whenever we needed to reach out to her. Enjoy!

Lovely apartment in Playa Azul #3/high floor. Great beach and recreation area view. I've been coming to PR and staying at PA (my family owned an apartment in PA1) since late 1960's. Following Hurricane Maria's devastation, the pool/rec. areas have been fully restored and I have never seen it looking so well maintained. Complex security as well as the individual buildings and rec. area security remain excellent There is 24/7 security to enter the complex and 24/7 security for each building. My husband and I felt very safe. Luquillo town remains adorable and sleepily typical of Carribean towns- nothing fancy, but with a few small, eclectic family owned establishments. There are also the nearby 'stands' close to the entrance to the public beach. Try them out if you want some good, authentic PR cuisine. Also, several small, simple, but good bar-b-que places close by along Rte. 3. Regarding the apartment- very clean and and met our needs. Specifics: Bathroom: Initially we had a bit of trouble with lack of hot water, but when we notified Susana, she immediately responded and her husband, Marco came by to do an adjustment; no issues after. Walk in shower: good pressure/comfortable. Could use a couple of shelves for renters' toiletries. Kitchen: working full refrigerator; stove top; washer and dryer; microwave. Adequate to make breakfast and also lunch sandwiches. We always went out for dinner. Bedroom: very comfortable mattress; dresser in closet and out of the way; split unit ac which was very quiet Living room: Futon chair and sofa- not the most comfortable for watching TV (which we did minimally). Netflix available/log in unnecessary. DVD player available. No issues with internet service. LR split unit: quiet. Balcony: 2 comfortable chairs and table to enjoy a cup of coffee in the morning. Heat generated by the split units is an issue if you want to sit out in the middle of the day with the units on. Best of all, Susana and her husband, Marco are really interested in their renters having a good time. They are easily available by text/phone for any issues/questions. Also, unlike other short term rentals we have stayed, this listing's pic's are are accurately represented of what you will find. Look closely for details. Looking for a typical chain hotel resort experience,? This is not the place for you. If you want an authentic cost-effective experience to interact with the friendly PR population, then you might consider this unit.

Vilomar is Not what you expect.

The time we spent in Puerto Rico was great however the apartment had issues. No working hot water, the owner said the tankless unit need to be replaced and obviously she knew this. If you want to enjoy the balcony, you must turn off the mini-split A/C units. The reverters are on the patio blowing heat on you. And finally, the building is in need of repairs, only one working elevator, missing windows and the ceiling sheetrock is falling in the hallways.
