If you are booking through Bookings.com or another rental app, you may not fully realize what Outsite is - a guest house designed for co-working/living, and not some sort of B&b, etc. this means there is no housekeeping, no pool, no gym, no staffer on site to ask for extra towels or directions, stow your bags if you arrive early or late (you can keep them in the common area, which is perfectly safe, but not everyone will feel cool with that option). It’s not a place to rest in your luxurious room overlooking the ocean, though there is one room where you could do that. The rest are fairly small and have no windows/views. It was ok, just not ideal at all. The only thing that was actually hard for me is there is no coffee in the room, and the coffee maker in the common area is an old Mr Coffee. Any coffee place is at least a 15 walk in morning. (I gotta have it before I deal with people, but if that’s not you, you’re fine!) It’s not a bad place for what it is, but if you’re not a digital nomad looking for impromptu housemates to pal around with in the evening, you’re not going to have an amazing time at Outsite. Further, the one digital nomad type I did meet here said this was not his favorite Outsite location because there were more tourists on vacation, which also kind of kills the vibe for him. Outsite: market exclusively to your target guest, otherwise you disappoint everyone. On the positive side Ocean Park Beach is a 5 min walk and the deck upstairs has a lovely view.

At first appearance the room seemed nice but upon further inspection I realized the room wasn’t cleaned properly. After removing the mattress covers I found bedbugs and couldn’t sleep comfortably the whole time I was there and it was too late to find anything reasonably price and the hotel had no concierge to speak to to make adjustments.

Great spot for anyone who wants to be right by the beach — the property is literally steps from the sand, with amazing ocean breezes and views all day. The rooms are small and simple with no TV, but the space feels calm, relaxing, and safe. There’s also a convenient community kitchen where you can cook or store groceries, which is perfect for short or extended stays. One important note: staff is not onsite, so be sure to check your email (including spam) and your text messages for the access instructions before you arrive. Highly recommend for a peaceful, beach‑side stay in San Juan.

Room was very dated and basic for the cost. No room service or anybody on property. We had questions and trouble checking in and there is no front desk with assistance ONLY by email. Took a little time to sort things out like that and stressful. NO ability to speak with anybody by phone. It was quiet, clean and beautiful view of ocean. Not our style of place for the cost.

Loved the room, very cute quiet stay, tucked in right next to the gated community although it’s right on park blvd, it’s a very quiet stay. The ocean is all you hear =). We loved the room. If I could make one suggestion, is a bit more sturdy table or two for those with back issues when getting clothes from our bags and for putting our things on. We would definitely stay here again. Thanks!

When I saw the 7 inch foam mattress and polyester towels, I knew that the stay would be interesting. 2 towels and 2 hand cloths were all we received and we were told additional towels will not be provided during stay. The house location is on the beach, only one room faces the beach. The kitchen is communal and there are no water glasses or a tv of sorts in the room. For $350 a night (inflated due to festival) stay elsewhere that is closer to all of the things. Minimum walk is .5 miles to anything and average is a mile or more. No cleaning services during stay in general, including trash.

The room was pleasant, the community kitchen had everything needed to prepare meals for the day and the common areas were very clean. There was a makeup smeared on the bedsheet and I am hoping it was just a stain, the staff was very difficult to get a hold of when we needed assistance with our reservation times and there was almost a 24 hour response time. We called, texted, emailed and also physically went to the facility to seek help and had no luck finding anyone to help us. Overall just very over priced for what it was and we wouldn’t stay again.

Room was clean although outdated and not well maintained. The small cosmetic repairs were not done by a professional for sure (as in scotch tape holding things together). But this did not take away from the charm of the place, the beautiful communal space, lovely outdoor space and the view! Ocean right across the street! Incredible sunsets, lovely coffee shops within walking distance. I would definitely come back.
