Staff was accommodating and room nice and spacious. The location is directly across from the cruise terminal. There is a restaurant and bar on property and Walgreen right next door. Walkable to all OSJ which is very interesting to explore. Safe and clean area.

For Expedia: the hotel room “Suite, 1 Bedroom, Balcony, Bay View” is incorrectly advertised to show photos of a balcony that you can walk out onto. This was a reason why I booked the room. The “balcony” that you actually get with this room is a Juliet style balcony that you cannot walk out onto. This should be corrected please. For Hotel Rumbao: excellent hotel, complimentary mimosas and waters, kind and helpful service, $21 food credit, outstanding steak burger and fries, included buffet breakfast with much variety, nice pool on the roof with a stunning view, great shower pressure and temperature, 1 hour expedited check in at 3pm and complimentary 1 hour late check out at 12pm! WOW! My only complaint are asking several times for the pull out sofa to be set up and around 9pm it was, and to please add a few more lounge chairs to the pool area.

I booked a second night after an airline provided a complimentary night due to flight cancelations. We asked to stay in the same room to avoid transitions midday. We left the room at noon and returned around 6:30PM to find the room had NOT been serviced. We went to the front desk and asked for the room to be cleaned. They said that they had issues with houskeeping today and didn't have housekeeping staff still in the hotel. She asked what I needed and that she'd have to check with the head of housekeeping to see if we could get towels and a change of sheets. They were supposed to call to confirm. I called back 30 minutes later and asked the status. The supervisor of the front desk said he wasn't sure but he'd check & let us know. I asked to change to a clean room and was told they don’t have any. Why am I paying for a dirty/unmade room?

This hotel has been remodeled since my last stay. It is beautiful. The restaurants were great. Great overnight prior to cruise. The only negative was at check in. They had a very long line with only two people working. Almost everyone had a reservation and leaving on cruise on next day. There must be a more efficient way of handling the check in. The clerks were very harried therefore rude.
