Beautiful Lakeside Log Home W/Steam Room

Welcome to Kiwassa Lodge, with a steam room only a few paces from the lake and sunsets to die for. Kiwassa Lodge is an 1,800 square foot year round waterfront home nestled on over two acres of woods in the heart of the Adirondack Mountains. With over 300 feet of waterfront, it is located on secluded Kiwassa Lake which is just two miles outside the village of Saranac Lake and 12 miles from Lake Placid. This retreat offers the best of both worlds. Relax in a private, serene wooded setting on the water, or take advantage of all the activities the area has to offer. The Lodge is an ideal, one-of-kind four season rental.

In the summer, swimming, boating, fishing, golfing, hiking, and hiking are all popular activities. Two canoe's and two Kayaks are provided for your use. Motor boats can be rented at a nearby marina. Kiwassa Lake is connected to the picturesque Saranac Lake chain of lakes which are 25 miles long and well worth exploring. The property's extensive waterfront includes two private docks, a boathouse and sandy beach area. The water is crystal clear with a sandy bottom and shallow area that is perfect for young swimmers.

Saranac Lake is a charming village with many amenities and Lake Placid is just a short drive or train ride away. There you can visit all the winter Olympic sights, or enjoy the fabulous shopping and dining in this quaint Adirondack village. For winter enthusiasts, Whiteface Mountain offers some of the best skiing in the east and Mt. Van Hoevenberg provides miles of cross country ski trails.

When you return to the lodge, you can build a fire in the beautiful stone fireplace in the great room, or build a bonfire in the outdoor fireplace near the water. There is a large deck overlooking the water for your relaxing pleasure as well. The house is neat and clean, and the kitchen is updated and fully equipped. There are four bedrooms and three full baths. Once you visit, we're sure you'll want to come back. We very much look forward to having you as our guest!

Lake Living is the Best!
My family has vacationed in this house for a long time. The house and location are perfect for lake life and access to great fishing (which I REALLY like to do). House is very comfortable and great sunset views. Lots of water activities with the lake directly in front of you. Sleep with Loons! A great place.

another stay in Saranac
I liked this house and it's owner is a great guy. super friendly. What i liked best was the boat house, ease of getting down to the water, ease of parking my bass boat and our pontoon. it gave me a great place to prepare for each fishing outing and to keep the boat dry at night. the electronics (internet, cable TV etc) worked great. The configuration of the rooms was a little different but it worked for our family. The kitchen was well stocked and accomodated our professional chef- my youngest son always makes sure the family eats well. I would highly recommend this property for a family of 6-10. Thanks for keeping the place in really good rental condition. no complaints at all really. We will be back.

Great Stay
We were a group of three couples and everyone had a great time. The location was perfect and we spent time paddling on the lake, hiking, biking into Saranac and visiting Lake Placid. The house had plenty of room for everyone to spread out and the kayaks and canoes were a really nice addition. Communication was easy and the owner was responsive.

Picture perfect lake house.
Absolutely beautiful house with picture perfect views of the lake. Been visiting the area for almost 25 years and this is by far the most spacious and gorgeous place I’ve stayed at. Pictures do not do this house justice. Plenty of space for the whole family. Beautiful yard and boat house with plenty of privacy. Will definitely be looking again. Very spacious with all the amenities.
